Well Worth A Visit

We took our daughter to Gullivers Kingdom in Matlock Bath about 3 weeks ago, and I would have to say I highly recommend it. I guess it must have been the time of year, but we literally walked on and off rides without having to queue. All the park staff were very friendly and helpful, and it was nice to see there were not too many stalls / shops trying to sell sweets and other kids souvenirs.

I would certainly recommend starting at the top of the hill, and working you way down as the park is set on a hillside. And we did see a few families struggling trying to push pushchairs uphill. Fab day out all in all and not that expensive.

Needs A Lot Of Diy

I've been going since I was a kid, and to be honest it has gone completely down hill since then. Every time you board one of the few rides they have there, it doesn't feel safe at all. The eating area/fun house smells, and is very unclean and the mechanics are terrible. On the plus side it is still a fun day out for small children, but I would not recommend the park at all. It is a waste of money

Needs Improvement

The place is tired, needs a lot of work.

Wasps were everywhere, we were informed by staff that there were several nests there.

The 2d dinosaur experience was poor, as we were not give any glasses.

Food was very poor and flies everywhere in the eating area.

Staff looked fed up.

Adults and children both pay £20 which is far too expensive.

Meal tickets only included one type of ice cream which we could not eat, it was orange and tasted awful. My 4 year old who loves ice cream chucked his straight in the bin.

Will not be visiting again, or recommending to anyone.

Fun Filled Family Day!

We went on June 1st for our little boys 7th birthday, our group was 2 adults and 2 children (4 and 7 yrs old) and we all had an amazing day.

Both children were betwen 90-120cm in height so had to be accompanied on most rides which was great as it meant we did lots more together rather than just watching from the sides. Ride ques werent long and we got on lots of things, everything i think and the log flume twice (daddy got wet so we liked that one).

We took a picnic but didnt bother eating it as we were so busy getting on everything, instead we grabbed some donuts (4 for £2) and ice creams (about £1.65 each for brand names like magnum etc...mr bubble ice lollies were £1.20) but food looked very resonable with the all you can eat buffet at £7.95 and burger meals for kids £3.95 if i rememeber rightly.

We had a picture taken on the flume and the picture was great so we purchased that (£4.50 for a photo, £4.95 for a keyring etc) again not too bad for an attraction like this.

The facilities were well maintained, the rides all clean and working well and lots for children of all ages inc lots of indoor soft play type places and arcade type rides which were also inc in the price (not an extra £1 here and £2 there)

We had a really wonderful day here, i was so worried by some of the bad reviews but there was no need to be. The staff were amazing - they all said happy birthday (my little by had a badge on) and every one said "enjoy the rest of your day" as we got off the ride.

If you have disabled people in your party you WILL struggle, its very hilly (if you have been to black gang chine its just like that) but for a family with young children its great! we only spent the £5.30 ish on ice cream and donuts and £4.50 on a photo and that was it! We also got cheap admission via Groupon but look on the gullivers site for offers too - today was £1 off if you took a teddy as it was teddy bears picnic weekend.

I would 100% RECOMMEND Gullivers! We`ll be going again! Thank you for a lovely family day!! x

A Fantastic Festive Day Out, Lovely Staff, Don't Miss It

We had a fantastic family day out. All the staff we met were exceptionally kind, friendly and helpful - they chatted to the children and offered to help in any way they could. I can honestly say I could not fault the staff so don't be put off by the bad reviews on here. There was plenty to do both inside and outdoors for our children(age 1,5 and 6). We loved it and would definitely go back again. We paid for the deal that included lucnh which was better value than buying food inside the park. The food was well organised and of a good standard. Don't expect anything amazing - it is fast food! We loved the Christmas shows and pantomine and most of all visiting Santa - it was perfect. The children were able to choose their own present from a big range so there was the perfect gift for everyone.

Pleasantly Surprised

We planned to take our kids (girls aged 6 and 9) for a day out as a treat for recent fantastic behaviour during difficult circumstances. We decided to try Gullivers Kingdom Matlock Bath as it is not too far from home (Sheffield) and we hadn't been as a family before.

I have to say, we were a little worried on reading some of the reviews here, but we decided that we couldn't face a long journey elsewhere to try another theme park, and that the negative issues raised in some of the reviews might be things that would bother us adults, but might not bother our kids.

I also initially thought that the prices were a little steep (£52 for a family ticket for 4.) On reflection though, we stayed all day and didn't have to pay anything else once we were inside the park. I now think that this is not so bad (certainly when you compare it to the cost of a family trip to the cinema which lasts 2 hours.)

The park has been built on a hill (it is in The Peak District National Park so we did expect this.) This might cause a few difficulties if you have a pram, wheelchair or walking aid. The steepest hill has a

Rude Staff, Ran Down - Avoid At All Costs

We took a group of kids to gulivers kingdom in matlock and it was terrible. i myself have been to many theme parks but not to one as bad as this. to get to the car park you have to drive up a steep hill, oncing in side the rides looks okay and queqing is little what was good, the rides attenders where very rude and dirty faced. after every ride i went on i said thank you and showed my respect to be given a dirty look and rudeness, to be honest only one man said thank you and that was the boat man ride attender. to eat there is little shelter out side and even inside there were leaks so you still got WET!! the toliets were okay but could have been monited every so often after one of the kids fount a fag packet in the Loo cubical. The gift shop was okay and looked very nice and severed some really nice gifts the downside to this was the price and the respect of the staff.

All so a couple of the kids were on our inclusion list and needed support, but to my honesty gulivers kingdom is NOT SUITABLE for disabled people, on the ski lift, a parent and her daugeter (who is on the inclusion) tried to use it but when the parent said they didnt want to go down any more due to the kid not liking it the ride attender still pressed go.

My last point is gulivers kingdom say they are aim at kids under 12 but for a kid under a certain height can not go on the ride with out an adult even for the dogems/bumper a cars any kid under 140 cm can not ride only and have to be with an adult, but to the shockment they can not even drive the car. WHAT THE POINT OF GOING ON THEN!!

So my overall opion for gulivers kingdom, is appauling i would recommed it to anyone. and to be honest i think the play centre i went with have waste 540 pounds on complete rubbsih.

Disgraceful- Staff Rude & Abusive

DO NOT GOP to Gullivers Kingdom if you value your money, time & childrens happiness

The park is grubby, run down and badly run and whats worth the staff are so rude, lazy & incompetent

I have taken a group of 12 to many theme parks and have never ever been treated so badly by anyone as the staff including the Manager Brandon Neal.

The staff refuse to accept any complaint, refuse to give the company head office details, refuse to do anything

The staff is SO UNDERSTAFFED that ride times take hours. For example the Antelope rollercopaster is staffed by ONE SINGLE employee creating havoc whilst endless staff float around selling balloons & junk leaving custoemrs with long ride waits as the staff are taken away to rip off custoemrs with cheap tat.

Misleading promotions on the website claim that the park is for upto 12 year olds BUT beware.... no child under 5 years old can ride without an adult on rides that they are TALL enough to ride on but are prevented from going on.

If you take 3 children you will need 3 adults with you

AVOID THIS PARK AT ALL COSTS
