I Went To Grizedale Forest To Join In With The Go

i went to grizedale forest to join in with the go ape climbing chalenge it was good but for children you want to keep an eye on it would not be good. you have to strap your self up you get told the rules at the start but no more rules are told! i went i was always waiting for my dad to come because it scared me and i thought if it unhooks it's self there will be a long drop down. i would recomend it for 12 year olds and onwad and if you suffer from back problems don't do it, THINK befroe going on.

Grizdale Forest, Go Ape Is Quite A Challenging And

Grizdale Forest, Go Ape is quite a challenging and stretching course - we did the one in Bedgebury Forest, but even the most difficult bits are OK for most people. Look out rather than down! Personally I enjoyed the Tarzan jumps more than the stirrups. If you remember that you are always attached and can drop no more than about half a metre if you lose your footing, then any queasiness melts away. Well worth it.

Go Ape Is A National Company, Situated In Forests

Go Ape is a national company, situated in forests around Britain, they let you swing from tree to tree with the aid of rope swings, rope bridges, high wires and zip wires. This does require a certain level of fitness, but an 80 year old managed to get round the course. Activites are graded like ski slopes, Green, Red and Black, Green being easy and black being hard. The scariest activity is the "tarzen rope swing", you feel like you are free falling 60 ft in the air! The course took us 3 hours to complete, but this wasnt helped by the cold and wet weather. Can be done in 2 hours. It costs £20, and you get a full safety talk, demo and are supervised on the first course, then left to your own devices for the next 4 courses. Highly recommended!

3 hours to get round the course? You must be bigger than Jabba the Hut, I did it one and half and had time for a nap....
