From this week Negotiate Now are offering cheap train fares to populsr resorts such as Blackpool. This is the most cost effective route for a holiday and the seaside town in Lancashire is still a booming resort despite the popularity of holidaymakers travelling abroad. Today Blackpool has more hotels and B & Bs than the whole of Portugal and, according to Which Magazine last year, it is the all time favourite seaside resort in the UK followed by Brighton. Blackpool has something to suit every taste, budget and desire including Pleasure Becah Theme Park, the Illuminations and the Winter Garden Conference Centre for corporate events. The world famous Illuminations were started in 1879 with only 8 bulbs giving the impression of artificial sunlight and in 2010 3.5 million visitors saw the spectacle, part of which was designed by celebrity designer Lawrence Lywellan Bowen. Ken Dodd is still a big attraction at the Grand Theatre every year in a series of variety shows and the annual Blackpool Dance Festival where ballroom dancers charm the crowds is another huge attraction. Blackpool is still the preferred destination for visitors from Glasgow and it will soon be possible to jump on a train and enjoy a stay in this popular archetypal Uk seaside resort.
