Faulty Screen

I had this TV for some considerable time and slowly (but steadily) over time it has degenerated! I have a random green line down on the far right hand side of the screen as well as a frequent distortion of the screen on the left hand side. The DVD frequently gets stuck and so it sometimes takes frustratingly long to play a film. I would not recommend this TV. Sticking to Japanese brands!

I Must Have Been The Luckiest Person Ever To Have

I must have been the luckiest person ever to have bought one of these that did not develop a fault, until 3 days ago. I have had it for approx 4 years ( 37" DMTech LCD tv ).

The picture is just ok, if you don't sit too close. The sound problem was rectified by passing it through a good AV amplifier instead of using the tv speakers. The built-in dvd player broke down within weeks of purchasing it and so a Comet repair person visited. He replaced it but did say that the dvd players always break down due to them being placed at the top as all the heat build-up damages the dvd unit. He assured me that the new one would also fail and, good for his word, it did. I gave up on having it replaced again and bought a seperate dvd player.

This week when the tv was turned on it gave out a large popping noise and the sound failed to work. It is now totally useless as a tv but as the picture is still ok i will use it as a large pc monitor.

In summary, this particular DMTech tv has not been as awful as some others that i have read about. The picture is not very clear and fast action looks blurred. This tv would be ok for the kids bedroom but it is not really a front room tv unless you are on a very very tight budget.

Good luck if you already own one!

Complete Waste Of Money!! The Old Saying You Get W

Complete waste of money!! The old saying you get what you pay for and yes these TV/DVD's are cheap and awful, DVD player stopped working after about 9 months, sound quality very poor, have to have sound level on 80 to be able to hear programs. Would not recommend. If I won this type of TV in a raffle I would give it back!!

Bought The 17" Dmtech Built In Dvd, Well I Am On T

Bought the 17" DMtech built in DVD, well i am on the 3rd one now which was swapped over about 4 years ago the first 2 i had was about 5 years ago and one had a fault after 7 months the screen went blank and same again with the 2nd on, but this third one i have been using for about 4 years without any faults, although i hardly use the DVD on it, and mostly used it on the PC for about 3 years,oh cant believe i paid £500 for it when it was new,I just got 19" logix tft with freeview record, pause live tv and rewind as well and usb function, very good tv so far.so i might be sell the DM Tech now.

This Is A Smooth Blend Of Value, Poor Quality, And

This is a smooth blend of value, poor quality, and near dangerous build quality. Turn on at your peril. Probably made by a partially sighted 7 year old lebanese leper.
