I Have Owned My Tv For Nearly 6 Years. Great Value

I have owned my TV for nearly 6 years. Great value for money at the time. After five years of constant use the TV bulb finally went. I bought another one from a supplier on ebay. It cost about £80.00. I fit it myself it was quite straight forward.

Still a good TV.

I Have Had This The Kf-42sx300u For About 3 To 4 Y

I have had this the KF-42sx300u for about 3 to 4 years and it has not been a joy. The TV has good technical features however the flahing green and red lights and the tv not showing any pictures is not good. I am surprised seen as Sony are a well establised firm that they would make a tv this poorly. If I had know how unrelibale this companys TV was I would not have bought it. Come one Sony help us out here it seems like this is a manufacturs fault!

I Bought This Television 5 Years Ago And Was Fasc

I bought this television 5 years ago and was fascinated with my new gadget. It was a great tv and gave me everything i needed. The only bad point i could find was that this was a huge tv and fills up a room. After five years i came to find that this tv is not overly suitable for Sky + as this kept going off the set box would take ages to come back. Then one day the telly would not work and there wa a little flashing red light which came to rell me that this was a bulb problem. A new bulb would cost in the regio of £100-200 plus somebody needs to fit this. My friends exact telly did the same thing a week later and his bulb would not work and he has had nightmare after nightmare. Oh my god not value for money. Im selling the telly for parts now and im cutting my losses by buying a new one.

Overall the Sony KF-42SX300U is a fantastic tv. Internal surround sound speakers work great . Easy to use and set up, picture in picture,

split screen mode. If it goes wrong expensive to repair.

I Bought A Sony Kf-42sx300u In A Sale On The Wedne

I bought a Sony KF-42SX300U in a sale on the Wednesday, to be delivered on the Saturday. On the Friday, I read some reviews of this item on the internet, and was dismayed to find that the reviewers were less than impressed with this televisions performance reguarding dark scenes. They gave it a great review otherwise, justly so, but I was a little bit disturbed about this. When the delivery men finished setting the tv up, the first thing I did was to put on a dvd, namely Darkness falls, where 85% of this film is set in darkness. I found it to be more than capable of handling all of the dark scenes, and all the fog scenes better and more clearly that my old crt set. I am very, very pleased with my purchase, and would reccomend it to anyone who doesn't want to spend heaps of money on a plasma screen. The picture is excellent across the board, and the sound is very good, the best virtual dolby I have ever heard. People don't seem to realise that some of these reviews on the home cinema sites are submitted by experts, or taken from magazines, also written by experts. I am by no means an expert, but I know what I like and see, this television is simply an awesome buy and, with the addition of a surround sound system, an excellent home cinema. Also, the remote is the best I have ever used, sturdy (it's metal) and very well designed. Overall, an excellent buy, A+.

The colour on my screen has gone. I presume I need a new bulb? Any ideas where I would get one?
