Have Just Bought A Samsung Le50q7hd And Wow. The P

Have just bought a Samsung LE50Q7HD and wow. The picture is fantastic.

I bought it to link up to the new PS3 so that my wife and I could reclaim the living room, hoping the kids and their friends would stay in the play room. However, we've not left the play room since buying it, and now the living room sits empty (it only has an LG 32 LCD which looks so small now). As mentioned, anything on HD (games or DVDs) looks absolutely fantastic. There is no discernible pixelation and everything looks photo quality. I recommend you play with the display settings to get things how you like them, but once you have, it really does blow you away. I think the "movie" setting looks best, even on games. I don't have Sky HD (yet) so this limits the quality of display for TV programmes, but still the picture quality is very good.

The sound needs to be turned up quite high when watching DVDs on the PS3. Don't know if this a function of the TV or the PS3. Certainly the sound is not outstanding generally, but more than acceptable for my use. You could always boost this with a separate sound system.

Having paid just under £1100 for it, I'm more than made up, and three out of four of the family think it's the best think we've ever bought for the house (although the dog was also quite a good buy, OK, second best thing).
