Toshiba 37WLT66

When I first saw the TV, I was amazed. It was so nice to purchase a TV online and found it looked exactly as you had expected. The image quality was so great, too. But when the TV got old, some functions became abnormal. To take sound for example, it has some little noise. And it was very hard to get any useful support from the after-sale staff of Toshiba.

I had this TV for a little 14 months then one day i switch it on to find that there was no audio coming from the built in speakers.

Sound still working from headphone socket so obviously fault with speakers.

Luckily i was able to connect it up to my stereo system and get sound that way so there was no extra cost involved in resolving it but as the sound stopped working overnight i am worried that something else may suddenly go and then i will have to buy a replacement TV as its outside of the warranty

The dark lines appearing on all pictures are distracting and judging by the efforts of others to solve it are a waste of time. The set was very expensive and if the life of it is only three years is poor value for money steering well clear of Toshiba next time.

Amazing TV with superb picture quality. Sound could do with a little improvement, but not really noticable unless turned up high through the surround system. Definately reccomend. I got mine cheap as chips through this site too. Offers end pretty soon though. http://gifts.kudosnetwork.co.uk/21111

Had this TV 3 years all fine then the Dtv chanel stopped working justa blue screen.

Toshiba didnt awant to know said it was out of 12 month warranty

There service recomended people said it could be expensive and AFTER A 60 POUND call out fee they wanted said it could be another 100 pounds in parts /labour.

I have to say its not good for a 3 year old TV that was expensive when first bought and in an ever changing world 3D HD etc that they dont really want to know if it goes wrong.

Def wont be buying any thing else Toshiba stamped!!!!

Screen has developed dark ghost patches that appears to be a common problem with this set when I checked on the internet.Customer Services were less than helpful.Will definately be steering clear of ALL Toshiba products due to my experience with this TV.

Overall I am happy with my Toshiba 37WLT66 TV I haven't tried out the hd features yet but will soon thanks

The screen on the Toshiba 37WLT66 37 inch LCD TV is excellent, especially in HD! The sound is OK, but it could have been able to handle a deeper range.

I would not recommend you buy this Toshiba TV or any electronic product from them, because if a fault occurs and you have to deal with their customer service department you will more than likely be frustrated, irate and disappointed.

You need a fair sized room for the Toshiba 37WLT66 37 inch TV. Mine is 15ft by 16ft and it looks great. I did a lot of research before buying , comparing many sets and this one came out tops. Having the integral freeview is a bonus. All connections are clearly marked and easy to get right. I have a Sony HTSF 1000 theatre system which works like a dream and supplies incredible sound for both TV and especially DVD viewing. All in all I am delighted with the Toshiba and pleased that I bought it having looked at many others in the same price range.
