I Have Had The Tv For A While Now. The Picture's G
I have had the TV for a while now. The picture's good for a cheap TV. It was straight forward to set-up and found all the free-view channels even though I have a weak signal from my indoor aerial.
It was always very slow to respond to the remote controller,- sometimes taking up to 10 seconds, and of course, if you pressed the button on the remote again, it eventually responded to both presses in quick succession, which was a bit frustrating. Anyway, finally after about 9 months it stopped responding to the remote completely, so I had to deal with the Tevion Customer Services. I sent an e-mail explaining the problem, to which they sent a reply asking me to ring the help-line to arrange for a replacement controller. I feared long waiting times and difficult questions as I couldn't remember when and where I bought it and I have lost the receipt, but my fears were unfounded: The phone was answered in less than a minute and the help-line immediately volunteered to send a replacement remote and was generally friendly and helpful. After I put the phone down, I realised that I didn't give them any of my details - like my address. I only gave them my phone number. Anyway, the remote arrived in about 4 days and now everything is OK and the slow response (to the remote) also seems to be fixed. I guess they picked up my details from the info I gave when I bought the TV. So, I would give them 5 stars for helpful service, but only 2 stars for the reliability of the TV/remote. I would be happy to buy any similar electrical product from Aldi and I have been buying my PC's/Laptops from them for years with never a problem.
