Having Being A Manager For An Electrical Store I N

having being a manager for an electrical store I new my onions when looking for a tv and at the time this was the best tv money could buy. Around £2000 it is still worth every penny the picture is stunning and the whole look of the tv is excellent. just to clear up the comments about hd this tv is fully capable of hd 1080 as I watch it all the time like this through apple tv connection and hd dvd player. the only thing the tv lacks is a hd in so you just use the component connections just as good and in my mind better as the sound is kept serperate from the picture signals.

would recommend this tv to anyone.

I've Had Sony Klv-l32m1 When It First Came Out 4/5

I've had Sony KLV-L32M1 when it first came out 4/5 years ago great picture.

bit outdated now with the latest TV's but still very good picture great depth.

My only problem is my screen just stopped working never a problem til then,

just took it into a sony dealer and you can guess what's coming. Sony no longer make the LCD. So unrepairable what a heart ache. This was £2200 new

put me off Sony I know anything breaks but you would think getting it repaired wouldn't be a problem just cost...

On the off chance anyone knows better let me know

Despite The Comments Below The Sony Klv-l32m1 Tv I

Despite the comments below the Sony KLV-L32M1 TV is HD ready - while it doesn't have HDMI input it does have the full component inputs (the ones on the back that say Y, Pa/Pr etc) which are totally HD. I have enjoyed many hours of HD full on this little gem!

Re Comments/questions Of Hd Compatibility, Mine H

Re comments/questions of HD compatibility, mine had 'stick-ons' that clearly stated "HD ready", and the Sony Australia website shows the KLVL32M1 "HD ready" although it is also "No longer available". I'm considering going for HD, so if there is an 'expert' out there who can explain to me if I can connect through a SCART socket? I suspect the answer will be an emphatic "NO!!"

Re Civilservant's Comments Above - Although We Did

Re CivilServant's comments above - although we didn't buy from John Lewis, we first saw it there and the stickers on the TV said it was HD ready - and the salesman giving us the spiel said so. This was 4 years ago when HD was in its infancy - now I just had HD installed and am pretty miffed to find the TV is not HD compatible.

Overall Great Tv It Would Be Interesting To K

Overall great tv

It would be interesting to know if you bought this tv as HD ready from John Lewis. I did 4 years ago and now they are denying they ever sold it to me as HD Ready. Sold as HD ready but is not as far as I am aware therefore I do not recommend Sony KLV-L32M1.

I have this tv and I still have the stickers on mine that states High Definition Ready. I have also tried to get sky HD conected and have been unable as their leads do not fit. I am told that the component cable off an xbox elite should do the job but they would have to hang down from the connector on the front of tv which is going to be quite unsightly.

Same thing happened to me. Bought Sony klv l32m1 four years ago as HD ready - This week my local Sony retail shop didn't know if it was hd or not hd, and told me to go on line for an answer. Good product support? Still do not know if it is- Help!!
