Samsung SM933HD or LS19CFEKF/EN

We bought the 933HD as a TV for the bedroom so I wasn't bothered that the sound quality isn't the best. It was really easy to set up, no problem with the stand and the remote is easy to use. However, after just a couple of days it refused to turn on. We took it back to the shop and got a replacement; however that developed exactly the same fault after a few months. It blew the fuse in the plug every time we switched it off - especially annoying as it's a 10amp fuse, very difficult to find! We sent it back just within the warrantee period to be fixed; however after only a couple of weeks it's doing it again and I'm currently trying to find out whether Samsung will make us pay for repairing it again or not. It's a real shame because apart from that it's a nice TV; however, this seems to be a common problem and that's the only reason I wouldn't recommend it. I'd like to mention that we have a larger screen Samsung as our main TV which has had no problems whatsoever, so this seems to be a problem with this particular model.

Bought this Samsung SM933HD on Thursday was on the phone to Samsung on the Saturday. When in standby it switches itself on for a few seconds, you get sound with no picture. It frightended the life out of me when I was getting a drink in the middle of the night! They say it needs a firmawre update so you have to arrange for them to pick it up (free of charge) and then they say it takes 5-7 working days to get back to you. It's Easy to set up, apart from the stand which is quite tricky,(thought they'd included the wrong size!) The picture is great, digital tv menus are good and the sound is adequate. Apart from firmware issue,extremely annoying,(Why don't they sort it out before sending them to the stores?) I am happy with it.
