Out Of The Box The Samsung Le40r74bdx Excellent, H
Out of the box the Samsung LE40R74BDX excellent, however, BEWARE, I have had the unit 2 years and it now wont turn on. I am now waiting for an engineer and according to the post I have seen, it may cost me £155 plus £30 call out fee plus £45 per hour to have it sorted.Whats the use of having a screen which is rated at 50-60000 hours life if other parts of the tv die after 2 years?I wont be buying Samsung again.

All Round Excellent High-defenition Tv. Looks Grea
All round excellent high-defenition TV. Looks great at it's native resolution of 1366x768 especially over VGA (component is also very very nice) and fast response times - game mode aside - makes sports and other fast-paced action footage look very nice indeed.

The Samsung Le40r74bdx Is A Great Value For Money
The Samsung LE40R74BDX is a great value for money tv although I have issues with the bad points.. I've also noticed that it sometimes does its own "system reboot" which is a tad worrying! Speakers need to be greatly improved - I've connected it to my DVD setup! Would suggest sticking with Samsung but buying a newer model - good luck!
