Samsung LE37R87

we bought our samsung le37 tv for 7 hundred pounds on recommendation of our son in law who said it had a good magazine review,the picture failed after 18 months we were told it needed a new screen because of the design of the tv,at a cost of over 400 pounds. 2 more samsung tv,s in the family, one the same as ours the other a 40 ins have both broken down with the same fault and all 3 are under 2 years old.we complained to samsung as the retailer had gone bust but got no reply.I wish i had known about these faults before we purchased.

Just after the guarantee expired black colours on the picture started turning green or red to the point it was unwatchable. Is going to cost about £250 to repair and seems to be a common fault - probably one samsung new about when they sold the TV's as new from checking out various other peoples similar experience on the web. I would spend a little more a get a TV that is more reliable - my last sony TV lasted 6 years without any problems.

I was hanging between Samsung and Sony. I could not decide which one to buy. But when I read reviews by another person about Samsung I decided to bring Samsung LE37R87 and did. Now I am very please with my Samsung television. It's very cool and easy to use. I like it's melodious sound. conclusively sounds good.

I was undecided on buying a new hdtv for quite sometime, then after the January sales didn't offer any noticeble reductions I decided to start comparing hdtvs. I looked at the Sony Bravia range, then Hitachi, 1080p vs 1080i. http://www.hdtvprices.co.uk/

Eventually I went for the Samsung LE37R87BD because the high contrast ratio is what most expect agree makes tvs more expensive. I looked around then bought online and saved £200.

The Samsung LE37R87 is easy set up, looks fantastic - piano black finish, great features - like surround sound setting, colour, movie mode, different modes for sound option e.g. music, movie, speech. Colour setting to look warmer or colder- meaning brightness or more warmer image so the colour can change to maker the image suit your mood. Great all round and its really classy looking, sound fantastic and picture is very good. You will not be disappointed unless you dont by this one. Great all round and I have never regretted buying this.

Overall looks good but does not deliver the quality picture.

I bought the Samsung LE37R87 TV for about 5 months and it broke!!. Pictures starting to show flashing red lines etc.. called Samsung service, the tv was taken away for about 3 weeks now and still waiting!. Very Poor customer services... I might be an unlucky one but well... that's my story.

Excellent in every way - this is my 3rd lcd tv, after buying 2x Wharfdale (very poor sound quality) and Daewoo (broke after 3 weeks - thankfully!) all were returned and after reading other reviews I decided to buy a 37" Samsung for £609 incl delivery from Beyond Television and it was the best thing I have done - I encourage anyone to buy it. I could not decide between the Samsung and the Sony bravia which was more expensive and similar spec. I am very pleased to have chosen the Samsung. I have mine on a glass stand but it would look fantastic on a black stand.

This is a must. The Samsung LE37R87 is cheap and most certainly one of the best with 8000.1 contrast ratio.
