LG Scarlet 37LG60

I have mixed thoughts about this television which is commonly known as the LG Scarlet. It is very easy to set and has an excellent picture. however I am not impressed by the sound which is poor. It has broken down once quite after 18 months and luckily I took out an extended guarantee otherwise the repair would have been £180. It make me think its reliability is questionable. Would I recommend it to a friend. I am sitting on the fence here and would say yes if you can take out a cheap extended guarantee otherwise no as after the engineer called I have doubts about its reliability. When working it is excellent.
