The LG 47LH3000 is a superb TV and a bargain at just £635 from Amazon!(Straight from the box the picture was superb (rare to find a TV set up correctly in the factory!) and with a bit of careful fine tuning the picture is absolutely stunning. Build quality may not be quite up to Sony/Panasonic standards but the set looks stunning and does not attract the premium prices of the aforementioned brands. As part of a properly set up home cinema system this set offers a viewing experience second to none, certainly at the price.
Obviously I cannot comment on the long term reliability or the after sales service as I have only owned the set for 6 months. However, my cousin in Spain has had his LG LCD telly for several years and it is still going strong! Highly recommended!
