After Months Of Studying Various 26inch Lcd Tv's,
After months of studying various 26inch LCD TV's, I narrowed my choise to between the Sony and the JVC. I wanted a flat screen TV that was reasonably future proof for the next 5 to 10 years in that I wanted it to be capable of receving digital TV. There seemed very little difference between the images of the two when tracked down to various department stortes, and so I finally decided on the JVC as it already has a built in digital receiver and is narrower than the Sony by having the speakers below the display rather than the sides.
Easy TV to set up for Digital Freeview, Analogue, Sky Digital and VCR/DVD replay. Very bright and sharp images with no noticeable smearing during fast action shots like sports. Very good contrast range being 800:1.
The surround sound is acceptable though would be better when fed through a home cinema set up.
The glossy black surround to the display would have been better in matt and the futuristic table top stand is not to my wife'sliking
For the price, I paid £1059.99 inclusive of next day delivery from Let's Go Digital, it is extremely good value for money when compared against some other 26" LCD TV's on the market at present.
