My Parents First Purchased This Philips 28pw6006c
My parents first purchased this Philips 28PW6006C Widescreen TV before christmas. I had an old Goodmans Widescreen. There is no comparison. Whilst my Goodmans is ok, the picture is a bit grainy and the sound not up to much, the Philips just blew me away especially with the picture quality.
I have now purchased one since my existing TV broke down. And now for less than £300 its a bargain too, and you get a stand.

I Purchased This Philips 28pw6006c 28 Tv Because O
I purchased this Philips 28PW6006C 28 tv because of the performance/features/price qualities compared to its rivals. Its picture has fabulous contrast and colour, especially appreciated when viewing dvd's.The remote control is above average.I also think the set looks good.
Further to my review, the tv developed a fault after 2 months, switching itself off into standby 10 minutes after switch on which then worsened to turning itself off after 10 seconds and finally not turning on (a known fault with some Philips tv's).When repaired (took 2-3 weeks) some of the geometry settings were out and dark/black scenes were a sludgey brown along with faint white horizontal lines when playing dvd's.Not having confidence in the repairers I found out how to adjust it myself which was quite tricky and acheived 8.5 from of a previous 10 out of 10 as to what it was before the fault.
