My Bush 6693d Is An Absolutely Awful Tv! I've Had

My Bush 6693D is an absolutely awful TV! I've had 3 so far, and all of them have developed the same problem.

The built in freeview keeps crashing when changing channels, and more often than not it crashes on the ITV and Channel 4 channels. I don't believe this is directly due to these channels, most likely the digital text service these channels offer is causing the TV to crash when loading in the background as soon as the channel is turned over, and it's probably due to overloading.

The fist time it happened I let it slip thinking the TV is new let it settle in, but then it kept on crashing, at least 10 times in about an 8 hour period I would say. It doesn't always crash this much, sometimes it is less, but either way it's very annoying.

The best way to deal with it when it crashes is just to leave it without touching any buttons on the remote, and after 5 minutes or so it will sort itself out. This is totally not acceptable, so I told the top branded store that I bought it from to replace it with a new set. Hours, not weeks later, the same thing happened again. Eventually they replaced the set again, but TWO Days later the same happened. I'm now waiting for them to get their act together and refund my cash so I can buy another set.

I suspect it's a software problem. I've tried to upgrade using the receiver upgrader, but it says no upgrade available.

The Bush 6693d Widescreen Tv Suffers From Vibratin

The Bush 6693D widescreen TV suffers from vibrating speakers. A lot of customers have had to have engineers out, and also return to the shop, only to find a replacement was the same.

Makro Had A Good Deal On The Bush 6693d Widescreen

Makro had a good deal on the Bush 6693D Widescreen TV for under £175.

Despite previous reviewers comments, the setup was not that difficult! If you scan analogue channels as well, be careful that you get out of that scanning mode correctly. Having the ability to remove analogue channels from fringe areas is good. Shame Digital Favourites mode was not extended more to guide, and able to renumber. We don't do top up TV and similar, so those channels we would rather not be listed.

All the problems are solvable by software changes if people want to do it.

One remote makes it easier to control than TV and Set top box, and my other half found it easier and quicker to get to grips with.

Still having the ability to switch between analogue and digital on different channels is good for channel swapping, waiting for something to finish, or switching during adverts.

The Bush 6693d Is A Poor System Which Requires Cho

The Bush 6693D is a poor system which requires choice between tuning digital signals or analog ones, both cannot be accommodated on tuning list at same time. Frequent System lock up requiring powering down and re-installing channels. Total lockup and now unable to get tv into digital mode. Pathetic "help line", constantly busy. D
