I Bought One Of These For My Mother. As It Transpi
I bought one of these for my mother. As it transpires it never seems to have worked properly, turning itself on or off, no BBC1 or BBC2. Having no experience of digiboxes, (I personally have cable), my Mum thought it was to do with the incomplete switch-over at Emily Moor transmitter. Now at a ripe old age of 18 months it has packed up all together. Has anyone else had this kind of experience?

The Wharfedale DV832BN boxes are great "But" the remote controls are below standard; they lose the markings so that they are unreadable. I have two units both have lost their markings and one control has stopped working. I have to carry the working control to both units which are in different rooms far apart. So far I have been unable to find a web site that supplies remote controls for these. I therefore recommend that you buy a different unit.

This is a good quality machine and, despite one or two issues, is excellent value-for-money. The Wharfedale DV832BN Freeview box has a great picture, fabulous sound quality, and is easy to set-up, and it has a neat design.

This is quite a large silver set top box which an LCD display showing clock and function. I wish I had realised that it has exactly the same remote control as the Bush DFTA11 before I bought it. They must be the same machine as the set up display and functions are exactly the same. It did not pick up all the channels although I have a fairly new digital aerial and am in a fully compatible area. I couldn't get any ITV channels (not even ITV1) nor Channel 4. I am now going to have my father's Sony freeview receiver which is no longer available new but gets excellent reviews. I searched everywhere but Comet, Currys, Tesco, Asda etc all have basically the same range of cheap freeview receivers. NB I bought this box which is the Wharefdale DV832B from Argos for £24.99. Avoid this one unless you have a VERY strong signal.

The Wharfedale Dv832bn Freeview Box Is Good Value
The Wharfedale DV832BN freeview box is good value for money, as it's only £29.99 at Argos. And what better store to buy from, although the 16 day return policy doesn't apply. You won't want to take it back anyway.
Bought from Argos.
It now crashes out occasionally and restarts all on its own.
Does anybody make a digibox that works correctly?
Argos sell the DV832B not the DV832BN! Where Can I buy the DV832BN from? I looked every where but can't find one!
