Sagem DTR 64160T

I've hardly used this machine and it has died on me, so I'm not happy.It very often didn't switch on first time and needed switching off and on sometimes several times - maybe I was just unlucky but I won't be replacing it with another Sagem!

Can i buy a Digital box from Sagem typeDTR6400T/6700T to use in Spain

as i find this box very easy to use and will it record English Channels OK

I read several reviews before purchasing, some good some not so good, but my experience has been perfect so far. I know it takes 15seconds to load, so what!! go and put the kettle on while you wait (it's still quicker than my PC)and all subsequent operations are instaneous. Some say the hard disc is noisy-- not mine--totally silent. Bad reception and picture break up --not mine--probably due to location or bad setting up or those awful SCART plugs. It's really easy to use so I would recommend Sagem DTR 64160T everytime to anyone no matter what their age.

Sagem DTR 64160T Pvr recording are first class recording never broken up like some of the other brands I have tried where the recording would be broke up in to 5 parts this problem never happens on the Sagem. The only time it has ever jammed up if you click on series record with channel 5 also ch 4 but I just use record once on that channel and click on the next program same day next week. Series record works ok with BBC and Virgin 1 and +1 and many of the other channels their could be other channels too that I never look at.

Sagem box is very small takes up very little space the EPG is black and parts are blue with a picture in the right corner EPG shows a list of 7 station down and up arrow lets you see more as it scroll up or down, click on record series record their is a long wait for 26 seconds but record once has a wait time of 3 seconds then a red box shows what you have picked to record later.

Power supply sits on the floor just like what you would use on a laptop so that is a good idea as it easy to fix where as other PVR box's the power supply is built-in if they ever go faulty you can not fit it lucky this sagen you can replace the power supply if it ever went wrong mine still working so no problems their by having it on the floor is one way of cutting down on unwanted heat.

The remote control can be we bit sleepy but that not a real problem. I would buy this PVR box again I am thinking of buying another one just in case the shops stop stocking it and put it in another room as I do love this box it the best box to use if your going on holiday it will not let you down.
