Bought The Starlogic 5.1quite A Few Months Ago Now
Bought the Starlogic 5.1quite a few months ago now. For the price, you can't really expect an all singing, all dancing, top quality system. What yuo do get is a dvd player that is pretty easy to set up and operate, and allows you to watch DVDs with ease for almost the price of one of the DVDs itself.
The picture can be a letdown sometimes, with the picture changing colours slightly every so often (which you don't notice a lot of the time, but still a slight drawback on darker scenes, where it comes to the fore).
Sound quality is pretty good. However, after about 6 months the subwoofer stopped working, and as the speakers lead off the sub, you dont get any sound at all, so have to play the sound through your normal tv speakers. Not sure if they're all as unreliable, but given the price, I would say, you get what you pay for.
Overall: If I want a cheap way to watch DVDs, I would probably go for the version of this without the additional speakers.
