I've Owned The Hitachi Pdv-302 Player For 3 Years,
I've owned the Hitachi PDV-302 player for 3 years, it's been a great player, so much so I got rid of my 'deck DVD player' as this was more reliable. Now though the battery only lasts 20minutes so I keep it plugged in :( It has been kept in a cold damp place (bathroom) so that maybe why it's given in so quick. Well worth the cash, I don't regret a penny. Only bad point is weak battery.

I Don't Actually Have This Exact Model, But I Do H
I don't actually have this exact model, but I do have a Hitachi PDV-3## DVD player.
The DVD player plays many disc formats, including karaoke discs, MP3 discs, and jpeg discs.
The battery is external, and it awkwardly sticks out of the back. The battery is very heavy, but it does have a fairly long play time.

I Bought The Hitachi Pdv-302 Portable Dvd Player I
I bought the Hitachi PDV-302 portable DVD player in February 2005, and found it to be exactly what I wanted. The trouble is, now the battery doesn't hold any charge at all. It used to play a two hour DVD with some to spare. A month ago that went down to 45 minutes, and now it is 10 minutes. Can I get a new battery?

The Hitachi Pdv-302 Is By Far The Best Portable Dv
The Hitachi PDV-302 is by far the best portable DVD player, it plays everything, and its multi region (requires code). So far it hasn't given me any problems, battery life is adequate, but you still can't see the whole of lord of the rings in one sitting. Audio side is excellent, it plays MP3s and standard CDs, plug in a headset and the quality is rather good. It has AV in to connect other other devices to (Video player, playstation 2) and make use of the screen, and it has AV out so you can connect it to a TV and use as a standard DVD player. It stands very well against your normal DVD players, however, the laser is a bit too sensitive, if their is a fingerprint on your DVD (which their shouldn't), It tends to have a hard time reading. Overall, for the price, it's a must have.
