After Just Over 2 Years My Philips Dvd-701 Has Sto
After just over 2 years my Philips DVD-701 has stopped working - it refuses to read any disc put into it.
The problem started with pictures freezing and now the whole thing is just a silver door-stop.

After Two Years Of Use, I Am Now Getting "disc Err
After two years of use, I am now getting "disc errors" and the Philips DVD 701 DVD Player hangs. It is then unable to show a disc. It is extremely irritating. It seems that the machine is overhot, There are also problems with the open/close display. When it works is really good - responsive and quick - but I almost threw it out of the window. I think Philips should replace it.
I have the same problem. Half way through the movie it freezes and reads disc error. Philips needs to look into this problem. I will never buy another Philips brand.
