This Nintaus N 9868 Dvd-player Belongs To Nintaus'

This Nintaus N 9868 DVD-player belongs to Nintaus' latest model line, and as usual Nintaus add exciting features, rarely seen elsewhere. I can mention support of WMA, CD-G and Picture-CD.

The chips used inside the DVD-player are the finest presently available in any brand (Zoran/Audio).

Audio sound is exceptional for a DVD player, especially because the internal dd is a rather good one. Music is very much like a dedicated CD deck. Movie audio is faultless.

Very good Mp3 reader: Play's all folder's however each folder has to be selected for menu display or only first folder will display while it plays all. Very good VCD 2.0 reader: Play's all folder with select and go function.

The picture is good especially because of the 1. class laser and the progressive scan functionality in the DVD-player.

If the Japanese part of your family comes to visit, the Nintaus N 9868 also has all necessary Karaoke functions, so you all will be able to sing along. As a new feature you can now use CD-G karaoke!

It has a very good remote control. The user interface is improved with a user friendly menu structure using icons. This interface is very similar to the interface you are used to on your PC.

The user manual is easy to understand and written in english with instructive pictures or diagrams. Last, but not least, this slimline model has a great design, so the dvd-player looks good in your living room.

Hi Irving

I´ve read your review with interest. I am now looking for a dvd player that has great compatability, it need to be able to play DVD, and home burned DVD-R/RW or DVD+R/RW, VCD, SVCD.

Have looked on a simular player from Nintaus model N9888, witch seem to be simular with the N9868, wich have the same specs on Nintaus homepage. Except for the progessive scan function.

But is this the only difference from the N9868? I have tried to look on the internet for more info on that, but can't find any, and tried to contact Nintaus support by e-mail, bu with no reply, any suggestions to find more info on these players?

You write in your review that it can play MP3 with good compatibility, but how about MP3 variable bit rate (VBR), have you tried that?

ou also mention compatability with DVD+R/RW, but Nintaus only mention DVD-R, have you tried all these formats?

what about WMA format can it play WMA version 9, or only 7/8?

Have you tried mpeg MULTICHANNEL 5.1 AUDIO? Wich the Zoran Vaddis 5 chip should be able to decode?

How about Dolby prologic I/II,can it decode 2 channel sources to Prologic II?

Hope anybody can help me on these matters to make me choose the right decision for a DVD player!

Regards,

Jonas Nordahl
