Got This Mustek Dvd V520 Dvd Player Over A Year Ag
Got this Mustek DVD V520 DVD Player over a year ago for the kids room and it is brilliant. Multi region, plays every disc you can throw at it, picture and sound are great, nice looking and small and compact. So easy to use it defies belief! Perfect not just as a second DVD player but even good enough for the main one. And only £35!!

I've Had The Mustek Dvd V520 Player For Over A Yea
I've had the Mustek DVD V520 player for over a year now and for the £45 I payed for it I can't complain. It looks better than anything you can get for that price now. It plays every kind of disc DVD, DVD-/+R VCD, SVCD, MP3 any region and picture discs. The controls are good and easy to use. The picture is excellent and the sound is top qualtiy It has DTS and 5.1 outputs, although I am running it through an amplifier and a 5.1 decoder. All in all i'd say if you can get this machine for arround £40 it can't be beat.
I Could Never Get The Mustek Dvd V520 Dvd Player T
I could never get the Mustek DVD V520 DVD player to work consistently...I could never see a movie through without it hanging every five minutes. The documentation is extremely poor. Frankly, I should have known because I had similar experiences with a Mustek scanner. If I were you, I'd avoid any product with the Mustek logo.
Maybe the product quality is varied but I've never experienced problems on this scale. My DVD has hung on occasion but this can happen with any player - it certainly didn't do it every five minutes. I guess this reviewer was just unlucky but I would have exchanged the player if I'd had these problems. If you can find this model at a good price I would still recommend it although since the original review I'm sure there are now many more similar (or higher) speced machines at the same price.

The Mustek Dvd V520 Is An Absolutely Fantastic Mid
The Mustek DVD V520 is an absolutely fantastic midi-size player from well-known PC hardware manufacturer. Multiregion functions are undocumented but codes are easy to use. This is a great choice with all the features of a player twice as expensive.

To make the player multiregional you need to enter a specific code on the keypad. This will allow you to specify which region you want to use - basically the company sells the exact same player worlwide and only sets the region in the firmware. I don't have the codes to hand anymore but try searching the web for the model number and "hack" or "multi-region" - you'll probably find more than one different procedure but give them a go (the results may depend on when or where your DVD was manufactured). Of course, you'll need to have a DVD from the desired region to hand to test if the change has worked or not.

Did you have to do anything to get it multiregion?
