After About Three Months Of Use, I Found That New

After about three months of use, I found that new recordings appeared to be corrupting old ones (I managed to dump some of the old ones off to DVD disks, but lost a lot.) Then about a year later, the DVD drive started to misbehave (opening and closing at random, refusing to close properly, etc. etc.) Hopeless: this has completely put me off LG equipment.

After Six Months The Lg Rh266 Hard Drive Erased Al

After six months the LG RH266 hard drive erased all my recordings and would not record at all. I had to send it away for repair. It was kept for nearly six months despite numerous phone calls to LG customer services. I was then told to take the receipt and the machine back to the retailer where I could get a refund which was a nonsense as they still had the machine! I am still waiting.

I Have An Lg Lcd Tv Which Is Fantastic, But The Re

I have an LG LCD TV which is fantastic, but the rest of the stuff they sell seems to be poor in comparison. The LG RH266 is a piece of junk. Playback quality is poor, when it decides to bother of course, which is another issue - plays DVD's when it wants to only. Recording is not possible - I feel I need a degree in electronics to figure how this thing works. I hate it, thats all I can say. Oh, and don't buy one from Currys because mine has been back there for "repair" for three months and still has yet to reach the service centre.

The Analog Tuner On This Lg Rh266 Does Not Process

The Analog Tuner on this LG RH266 does not process "Stereo" or "SAP" signal from TV broadcasting, it only records "Mono" video to DVDs or to HD. I Called LG customer services and confirm that this is "By Design". So, why there's Stereo AV inputs at its front panel since if it can only records in MONO?

First.., And Most Annoyingly, You Cannot Spli

First.., and most annoyingly, you cannot split any video content created on the HDDIf you intend to do a mass transfer of those archive video 4/8 hour tapes, be prepared to have to press record and stop for each episode individually. None of this letting it record overnight and edit it later. For example, if you have a 4 hour tape and you record it all in SP mode onto the HDD, you will not be able to transfer it onto two 2 hour discs, *because you can't split it*. Arrrrrgh! This "split" functionality is present on other brand DVD recorders owned by friends and relatives and is, I feel a serious shortcoming on this model.Secondly, in English (and every other video device I have ever purchased), the word "dubbing" implies that additional or new sound is to be added to an existing recording. It took several readings of the manual to realise that where they say "Dubbing" on the remote control, what they mean is "Copy". in order to copy titles between the HDD and DVD Discs, I needed to use the "dubbing" function on the remote control. Grrrr again.
