Kiss Dp-1500. Does Everything It Says On The Box

Kiss DP-1500. Does everything it says on the box! It's a VERY good machine - 99% of the times... It runs everything smoothly, except certain unconventional (modified) DivX/Xvid codecs... and no DivX 6.xx, but it isn't ment to so that is fine. I love the "PC-link" option for multiple reasons... First off i makes me able to watch stuff without burning DVD's first... which is nice and costsaving... secondly, and very important; this player has a "net-radio" feature... this net-radio player makes u able to listen to ALOT of different radiostations on the net, be it amature or professional stations. No sensorship... No corp. excecs to ruin the stations. This feature is AWESOME!

It ONLY does what it says on the box! which means no Divx 6.xx The "1%" of the times where it isn't a very good machine, is when you have to hardreset it ... meaning the software muffs up so bad that you have to reset it by unplugging the powercord for a few sec ... kinda anoying ... but not too bad...

At First The Kiss Dp-1500 Like Looked A Great Mach

At first the Kiss DP-1500 like looked a great machine, play Divx directly from PC with no need to burn CDs or DVDs its a great thing but ...

Some months after buying it a new Divx "format" appeared and now I can't use it to almost any of the most recent "titles" unless I burn a CD (there goes the advantage of this player). Linksys bought KISS and now I get nothing to upgrade this model, I have to buy a new one (you wish Linksys).

Then you have the buggy software and even hardware, the display sometimes shows weird characters and you have to run it off/on to get ride of it.

And many other bad things that made me put it on a shelf, instead of taking it apart, to remind me that sometimes I make bad choices :(

So, if you are thinking in buying this, think twice and then think again and in the end, don't buy it.
