Coming From An Older Canon Dslr, The Change To Pen

Coming from an older Canon dSLR, the change to Pentax K10D's way of doing things was slightly awkward, but the advantages rapidly outweighed the disadvantages.

1. In-body Image Stabilisation.

2. Ability to use all legacy PK lenses, nearly all M42 and many others. 3. Weather sealing is a plus.

Shooting in Raw or Raw plus Jpg is a bonus. All previous Pentax lenses will work on the K10 D, takes great pictures..

Ease of use camera and well prices and the numerous 2nd hand lenses one can pick up at a bargain price make this camera well worth a look at in my opinion.

Over The Last 25 Years I Have Owned Several Slr Ca

Over the last 25 years I have owned several SLR cameras, most of them Pentax cameras due to their user friendly design, logical approach and excellent ergonomics. I started with the ME Super, LX, MZ3, ist*D and now I recently upgraded to the latest K10D.

The K10D is fantastic - it is solid, well made, dust & weather proof (I live in South Africa so that is a must), reliable and very reasonably priced. The functions are super, most everything can be customized to suit your level of photographic skill - from fully automatic to totally manual SLR. The image quality is superb and very realistic images are captured for further digital developing in Photoshop. If you prefer you can adjust the settings to take superb photos straight from the start for immediate printing. I prefer shooting images as realistically as possible and using the computing power of a PC to enhance the images further. I love this camera as Pentax have really put some logical thought into their designs - the controls are well laid out and efficient. No beeps, squeaks, squeals or flashing lights. I would place this camera in the advanced hobbyist to professional sector of photography.
