First Dslr Purchase. Shopping On Www.gizmo.bz

I'm no photography expert but I decided that now was finally the time for me to buy a DSLR camera, Canon 600D, after thinking about it for many years

To choose this camera I read online reviews, compared features of various cameras and brands, and spoke to friends for their opinions

In general I have found this camera to take excellent photos and video, and I was able with the help of the manual, to use the camera to do what I wanted. I zeroed on to www.gizmo.bz for my online purchase. Nothing great, just low price and overnight delivery services to Delhi were the deciding factors in choosing gizmo.bz. I had to pay by Net transfer as I don't have a credit card. I am certain that in the hands of an expert the camera could do much more than the relatively simple uses I am making of it currently.

Pros: picture quality, connectivity to PC, battery life

Cons: some features eg video shooting are not really intuitive but the manual is useful and informative

I Got A Chance To Use This Camera A Few Weeks Back

I got a chance to use this camera a few weeks back. Not only is it a great camera for beginners but for professionals too. You can just leave it on the auto mode and still capture great images. This camera comes with a flip out screen, which is really handy when you are trying to take shots at difficult angles.

The camera is very light and some people did say it feels too plastic, but I didn't see a problem with it. It also takes full HD videos, which is a bonua when you are travelling, as you don't need to take both a camera and camcorder away with you.

If you are looking to buy a digital slr, I would either recommend this camera, or the canon 550D.

I just got a I just got a D300 it has no Auto-ISO setting? But I see it has Auto-WB. The suther also acts very very very slow. I hit the triger on the D300 and it has a 2sec delay.

Just Received, So I'm Still Getting My Head Round

Just received, so I'm still getting my head round all the details. VERY comprehensive instruction manual. To say this is a beginners camera just really doesn't do it justice...yes, in auto intelligent mode it's a point snd shoot camera albeit with BRILLIANT results. For the enthusiast, there's plenty to play with far more detailed control. Yes, Canon have made some quite complicated concepts easier to understand which can only be a good thing. The "enthusiast" may be dismissive of this over simplification but with this setup, I'm sure the "beginner" will produce some very satisfactory pictures.

worst evierw and worst evierw and advice EVER. oh a side note, i was originally very intersted in the 450D-rebel xsi-kiss 200x or whatever the heck, but i after much research i am folding for the Nikon D90 instead. Yes i know this is slightly more pro than the 450D, but i even think its better than 40D. Just need to make one more stop at my local Jessops and see how they feel. The Nikon has kept its 80 s look also dont you think, it looks retro, i love that.

A Minor Preview/review Of The New Canon Eos 600d (

A minor preview/review of the new Canon EOS 600D (Rebel T3i) upper entry level DSLR. An upgrade from its predecessor the EOS 550D. Specifications remain about the same; similar CMOS sensor with 18.0 megapixel, but what's really new and upgraded? The Canon EOS 600D gains a new vari-angle LCD screen similar to the EOS 60D. The EOS 600D also now has the ability to remotely control flashguns using its internal flash; a feature that normally only high-end DSLRs would have. Even more accurate iFCL Metering focusing system taken from the EOS 7D's 63-zone Dual-layer metering sensor, ensuring shots are properly exposed even in tough lighting conditions.

The EOS 600D Lens Kit will sport a new EF-S 18-55mm F3.5-5.6 IS II, a more revised version II lens with image stabilizer. The lens is built lightweight and easy to carry, ensures a blur-free shooting zone.

EOS 600D Specifications:

18 Megapixels APS-C CMOS sensor

Featured Guide mode

Scene Intelligent Auto mode

7.7cm (3.0-in.) 1,040k-dot Vari-angle screen

14-bit DIGIC 4 processing

ISO range of 100-6400 (expanded to 12800)

3.7 frames per second (fps)

9-point Auto Focusing

Full HD (1080) movie shooting

The EOS 600D is easy shooting with amazing results, a new fully-automatic scene intelligent Auto mode makes it easy to capture shots with nearly no effort. The Scene Intelligent system will analyze the scene for you and automatically pick the best settings to capture.

The Vari-angle LCD features 7.7cm (3.0-in.) with approximately 1.04 million dots resolution, with a wide 160 degree angle of view. The screen has been improved with anti-reflection and smudge-resistant fluorine coatings. Like the EOS 60D, the Vari-angle screen is designed to open sideways, to allow photographers to creatively shoot from unusual angles.

This camera is built for beginners, and we're more often seeing more and more Featured Guide modes, that are filling up the user interfaces, offering a brief description of each key setting and effect; it helps those new to DSLRs get the hang of what settings exactly it is they're shooting.

Overall not a bad camera, not too much of an upgrade from the 550D, major difference is the Vari-angle LCD. Price is a bit higher than your normal entry level DSLR's. Some people may be turned away because of the price difference. But for any amateur keeping up with the times, a 600D would be a great upgrade per say from a Canon 450D or Nikon D40.
