The Sheer Ease Of Use & Just Plopping In A Floppy
The sheer ease of use & just plopping in a floppy disk. The Sony Mavica also takes memory sticks too. Generous size monitor screen too. We have half a dozen Mavica cameras in our business.

I use this camera daily in my work as an event photographer well as for general photography and find it to be exceptional. Simple, easy to use, within it's limits takes great photographs.
It will surprise you in what you can do with it.
In short, I am very pleased with the Mavica FD-200.

These Are Awesome Cameras, Sony Should Have Never
These are awesome cameras, Sony should have never stopped making them. The 3" Mini-Disc Sony Mavicas are awesome too - but a bit more involving when you "finalize" the Mini-CD when finished taking photos. (Very easy though). The floppy just pops out and into your computer, too easy, even for the most diehard, stubborn old folks (my husband). Love this camera - we will always have one in our household!
At first I thought this camera is just a bulky piece of ordinary digicam. Well, thanks for indicating its great points. Nice review.

The FD200 is overall a simple camera to use and produces very good photos with enough light. The 2.0 megapixel CCD is plenty for printing 4x6 photos and sharing photos on the web. The floppy disk is very convenient, but only 4 images fit on the floppy (at 2 megapixel setting) and they have much more JPEG compression than if you use the memory stick.

Nothing beats the Sony Mavica in terms of ease of use. It is easy to train beginners with. It takes floppy discs which limits images to five maximum which is good for some settings, like medical. Very good images. Best images for shooting in lousy conditions, like fluorescent lighting. Close macro easy to utilize.
