Olympus SP-590 UZ

This is a really great camera. I bought if after considering lots of alternatives and in the end the Olympus won beause of the 26x zoom. Some of the so called "professional" reviews I have read marked the camera down for poor image quality, but so far I am really pleased. For sure the quality decreases if you use very high ISO file speeds, but a bit of post processing can produce great results even from these. The zoom lives up to my expectations, and I also like the ability use bulb mode for long exposures. You can pick up a remote control for less than £5.00 which works perfectly for long exposures. Image stabilisation is OK, but if yuo can use a tripod the results are even better with the max zoom.
