Nikon Coolpix S200

Nikon Coolpix S200 took nice pictures, small compact easy to use.

Unhelpful customer service. After 4 months had a lens error. They had my camera for two months awaiting spares.

Sent a letter of complaint about customer service. When my camera was finally returned, an internal letter was also enclosed stating that I had sent in a moany letter! This is how they deal with criticism. I like Nikon cameras but after such customer service I will never buy their products again.

Easy to use, nice variety of

Picture quality is quite poor in my opinion. Close up pics with flash are clear but otherwise, the picture is as fuzzy as if you'd taken it with a mobile phone.

I should have taken it back after two weeks.

Therefore I do not recommend the Nikon Coolpix S2000.

I bought a nikon and dropped it and it cracked the lens and the camera didn't work!!....cameras get dropped all the time and a good camera will withstand a drop or two, but not the nikon coolpix!!!....and not only did nikon refuse to repair the camera they were quite rude and stated that i was a bad camera handler!!! DON'T EVER BUY A NIKON!!! WELL UNLESS YOU WANT TO BURN YOUR MONEY AWAY!!!!

Overall, the Nikon S200 is a good camera with sharp image quality in landscape or close-up mode. Gives very crisp images in close up mode. But in the dark it is not that good in performance. At times we have to take care regarding shaky hands otherwise the image becomes blurry. The video mode is also OK but need a camera stand otherwise the video appears to be very fast due to hand shake. The video modes also fails to give good images in dark.
