Have found it used on Amazon for 49.99, which is probably the best condition you'll find it in since they no longer sell replacement parts for it, and at that price, having used it myself, I can say it is well worth the price. The features are great at that price it is easy to use and figure out and the picture quality, to me, is excellent even at the lowest quality image. Mind you at the lowest two settings the liveview feature does make for a lower quality picture but but in the highest setting I see no depreciable difference between lowest quality without liveview feature and highest setting with. Again. even in the lowest quality setting the pictures without the liveview feature is awesome. I have had 35mm film cameras that didn't take as high quality photos. I was just lucky enough to have found one with an SD media card but no other accessories for $2.99 in a used abit store and I have found it to have more going for it than some new $49.99 cameras. I could not have been more pleased with it than if I had paid $80 for it.

The Kodak Cx6200 Is The Perfect Camera For Getting

The Kodak CX6200 is the perfect camera for getting good pictures on the fly, just point and shoot. The auto shoot mode gives very good pics indoors or out. I have a more sophsticated digicam but I miss a lot of spontaneous pictures with it. Thoroughly pleased with this camera. I only gave a 6 stars rating for features, but this is ok since I want this unit to simply take quick quality shots. I gave the battery life an 8, but haven't had it long enough to evaluate this accurately.

Although I Am New To A Zoom Camera With So Many Ex

Although I am new to a zoom camera with so many exposure and other features, I've had my share of bad outcomes because I'm so new to it, but when I understand how to take shots in different environments, it's crisp and clear and worth the work to figure out. Who needs expensive cameras unless you're a professional? You can get up close to your subjects and read their mind. lol

For Its Price The Kodak Cx6200 Digital Camera Is G

For its price the Kodak CX6200 digital camera is great value for money! Most of the basic features needed for a basic point-and-shoot camera are found in this nice gadget.

I compared it to my cousin's Olympus C-350, disregarding the higher megapixel setting he used, the colors of pictures were much more enhanced. Also it lacks the Optical Zoom.

Pictures taken from the Kodak CX6200 were captured as-is. WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) in terms of the colors. You can use the extra $80 (the difference in price for the C-350) for the SD Card. If you have some $80 to spare , then i recommend the C-350. If you're on a tight budget, this camera should do. Crisp pics and bright colors. Just don't shoot it less than its range, the backgroud will look more clearer than the subject you want.

This Kodak Cx6200 Is A Great Digital Camera.

This Kodak CX6200 is a great Digital camera.

The camera itself has 2.0 Mega Pixels to capture and many good features that allow you to customize your picture the way you want.

The Video Capture is a very good feature that without a memory card still is able to hold 25 seconds.

Without a card 13 to 15 pictures can be taken.

The online (camera) menus are easy to use, as well as the program that comes with the camera (EasyShare) which has both an automatic updater and an automatic downloader feature, once you plug your camera in to your USB port, the syetem automatically detects and starts the download process (option screen or as preferences are set).

This is a GREAT camera for the little money that you pay and it is highly recommended.

I Needed A Small, Cheap And Effective Camera And D

I needed a small, cheap and effective camera and decided to go for the Kodak CX6200. You can't really go wrong with Kodak and this was no exception.

The camera is exceptionally easy to use and the menus are well laid out and simple to understand. To take a photo you just switch the dial to "auto" mode and your ready to snap away! It really couldn't be any simpler.

It can also record movies (without sound) and this function is just as easy as taking regular photographs.

The flash has 4 modes: flash off, auto-flash, fill flash and red eye reduction. I've found the flash to be more than adequate and managed to capture sharp, bright pictures even in rather dimly lit rooms.

The LCD viewfinder doesn't perform too well in dimly lit rooms though and shows a rather dark/grainy image. This is where the normal viewfinder is best used.

The 3x digital zoom performs ok considering its only digital zoom and not optical. Although using it deteriorates the image quality it's always handy to have.

The camera captures at 2 megapixels producing images up to 1632x1232 pixels. This is good for producing quality prints of up to 8" x 10". The camera has 8MB of internal memory and can be expanded with SD/MMC cards.

The supplied software installed without any problems and the camera was instantly recognised within Windows XP. Transferring pictures is a breeze, you simply plug the USB cable in, switch the camera on and the software instantly presents you with a window where you can choose to transfer all the pictures, or select the ones you want.

Overall im very happy with this camera. I paid £79.89 at Comets and for this price it's possibly the best camera you can buy. It produces great quality images, its simple to use and small enough to carry around in a pocket without any hassle. I'd recommend this for anyone just getting into digital photography as a first camera or for anyone who just needs something small and cheap that produces great quality pictures.

Don't Let The Kodak Cx6200 Absurd Low Price Tag An

Don't let the Kodak CX6200 absurd low price tag and lack of features deceive you. If there's a digital camera that gives the most bang for the buck then this just might well be it. The price rivals that of the other, low-end digital cameras in the market with sometimes unheard of brandnames and VGA resolutions. But the "Kodak Colour Science" puts the CX6200 miles ahead of these cameras and can even compete with the more expensive 3.0 megapixel products on the market.

It doesn't have manual white balance settings, no exposure modes, no macro. Heck, it doesn't even have a lens cover. Feature-wise the CX6200 doesn't have much to offer. It is a 2.0 megapixel point-and-shoot camera with a silver plastic body and a 2X digital zoom. IT has 8MB internal memory and support for Secure Digital card slot. Not too many buttons to fiddle with here. A three-step dial (Power OFF, picture mode, video mode), four-way navigation button, OK button, menu and picture review buttons. This makes it very easy to operate. Turn it on and take a picture. You can then review the picture and delete it if you are not satisfied.

What it does, however, it does VERY well. For a point and shoot camera and the price (I paid UKP70 for mine), the CX6200 produces very impressive pictures. Kodak digital cameras are known for producing pictures with high colour saturation, and the CX6200 is no exception. This you can either love or hate. Professionals may not be so keen on this, but for on-the-go tourists who want to take good-looking, colourful and well-exposed pictures without having to fiddle with numerous settings and buttons, this camera may well be a godsend. The CX6200 even fared well with shots taken against direct sunlight. By setting the exposure compensation (the only thing, aside from the flash, that you can actually control manually) to a higher level, the camera yielded well-exposed pictures even if lighting was not optimally placed. Other, more expensive cameras I have owned and used did not do as well in these situations, making me even more impressed.

Outdoor pictures look good, indoor pictures are even better. The colours are rich, with sharp detail, and the fill-in flash balances lighting almost perfectly. Not only is this the perfect tourist camera, it is also highly suitable for taking party pictures indoors, provided of course that the party is not in total darkness.

Kodak has of coursed skimped on a lot of things to sell this camera cheap. There is no lens cover, so make sure you put the camera in a case when not in use. Also, the LCD is not of high quality. It is OK when used outdoors, but indoors it can be rather dark, grainy and fuzzy. The LCD is not completely reliable when viewing pictures you have just taken, so you'll have to download the pictures to your PC before you can judge them accordingly.

If you are looking for a cheap (but adept) 2.0 megapixel camera and don't care too much about manual settings, white balance, exposure modes, etc. or are simply stripped for cash and in dire need of a digital camera that has a low price but still yields great results, then the Kodak CX6200 gets my two thumbs up. Great price, great-looking pictures. Now that's good value for money.

A sample of pictures I have taken with this camera cam be found at:
