I Bought This Camera Used But In Mint Condition In
I bought this camera used but in mint condition including all accessories and the original box. It made only 46 clicks.
Kodak DSC-620X camera based on Nikon F5 film body and aimed in the begining of 2000' for photojournalists and sports photographers. The performance was very hight at the time, including fast burst shooting.
Nikon F5 was the top of the line flagship Nikon film body, which is very durable, has great performance even today and very long shutter life of at least 150,000 clicks.
The initial model was DSC-620 which had RGB CCD, to extend the sensitivity range to ISO 6400 (incredible by the time it was made) they changed pattern to CMK. Crop factor is X1.6.
Battery life is really good and not compilcated to buy a new one, it used a battery like some types of portable computers.
It takes couple seconds to turn on this camera, it is longer period of time that usual modern DSLRs. Image proccessing inside the camera takes a lot of time (almost a minute for each shot).
This camera has only 2MP, but comparing to a 2MP camera, the image quality is very good. By today's means, the colors are quite poor and by overall image quality (especially colors and lack of megapixels) almost every modern P&S will over perform this dinosaur. This camera is part of my collection, and I think that over the time it will be a very rare item because it was made in small numbers.
Probably if you are reading this review, you saw somebody selling this camera or maybe have some historical interest. I would not recommend it for general photography usage, but more for collectors.
