Bought My S304 In 2003. After 7+ Years Still Worki
Bought my S304 in 2003. After 7+ years still working great. With only 3.2MP, 6X zoom, it can produce excellent photos. Satisfied with it. Excellent colours, very vibrant. However, not too sensitive with low light. Overall, it is a good buy for me. Will keep it as long as it still works.

Bought in 2003 ,used daily, absolutely reliable, quality workhorse. No gripes at all , superb picture clarity and colour saturation. Edit photos with Picasa to customise. As an Artist I use this machine 2 -3 times a year for promotional and print purposes commercially with great success. This camera should not need updating until it can be slimmed down, difficult with the excellent x6 zoom. Tried loads of similar spec cameras, nothing touches it for the price , and it's 7 years old!!!!

Never had a fault with the cam.
Somone else put that the card clip broke off but Im very heavy handed with mine and never had a problem with it.

Don't Take Too Much Notice Of The Bad Press Some P
Don't take too much notice of the bad press some people have given, buy from a reputable dealer or buy cheap on Ebay and have a good time capturing some excellent photos. Quality is magnificent for a camera of this price range. If you buy off Ebay then buy cheap. I did and I have had a great experience. Check out your seller though and check his feedback. Please also check you get adapter ring with camera as you can then start the fun bits like filters, telephoto lenses and wide angle lenses etc. the world is your oyster.

I Have Had The Fuji Finepix S304 Camera Less Than
I have had the Fuji Finepix S304 camera less than 2 years and for no apparent reason it has just stopped working. I took it to a camara shop and they said it is cheaper to buy a new one than it was to have it repaired. what a con. I will not be buying another fuji.
I have had an S304 since 2002. It is my first digital camera. I have been taking photographs for 70 years - which doesn't mean I know everything about photography! However as an experienced hand I must say that the S304 has served me very well and I have taken hundreds of pictures with it and it has never given me any problems whatever mode I use. Any indifferent quality pictures have been due to me and not to the camera.
There are no doubt better cameras but, even at the price paid four years ago, I find it hard to fault unless one is really "nit-picking". I haven't yet sold my 35mm SLR but I am considering doing so and upgrading to a later Fuji digital model - my wife has had her eye on the 304 for some time and I would certainly recommend it as a starting point for anyone who is a first time user of digital cameras. However it should be used with rechargeable batteries.

The Fuji Finepix S304 Camera Has A Good Feel About
The Fuji Finepix S304 Camera has a good feel about it and looks great. It takes brilliant pictures but why can't they be on a counter system like SONY?
I have lost so many pictures because of this stupid software? Hate it this is the reason why I will sell my S304 not because of the quality but because of the stupidness of the SOFTWARE.....

I've Been Using Fuji Finepix S304 For More Than 8
I've been using Fuji FinePix S304 for more than 8 months now. Did not have any problems with it. Purchasing 4 rechargeables was of great help. I only recharge them once every two weeks. I must admit that I took almost all images in automatic mode, even night pictures. The results have been more than satisfactory. I wonder why the S304 isn't even mentioned on the FujiFilm site. Very easy to setup and use, I've read the manual 3 months after I purchased it, because there was no need for instructions :)
I have a Fuji S304 and after I had owned it for about 9 months or so it started losing settings when the four re-chargeable batteries were replaced. I realised this was a fault and it was returned to Fuji under warranty. Now the clip which closes the door where the memory card is housed has broken and the camera has again been sent back to Fuji, which cost me £15, which I was told would be taken off the cost of repair. I've now been advised that the repair will cost £139.50!! When I queried it with the shop they telephoned Fuji, who said they would get a technician to look at the camera and asked the shop to phone them on Monday afternoon. All I want is the door replaced, not the complete refurnishment they want to do, or do they want to do this because when I get the camera back with a new door something else will go wrong. I've not yet had the camera two years. Has anyone else had the clip on the door break?
The Camera is of good quality but why on earth do you have to reinstall date, time, etc. after replacing batteries or why can't the pictures be on a counter system like SONY????

Do Not Buy From A Fuji Dealer In Paphos Or Nicosia
DO NOT buy From a Fuji dealer in Paphos or Nicosia in Cyprus because they will not honour the Fuji guarantee. They will lie to you and give all sorts of excuses, they will pretend they have completed a repair on your camera but in reality they do nothing to resolve your problems.
I am now having to go legal to resolve my issues with my Fuji Finepix S304
Fuji cameras - Don't bother buying one if you live in Cyprus!! Maybe the same service is worldwide. I certainly won't take the chance again.
This is a service problem not a review of the camera or its functions - most unhelpful.
