I Have Shot Pictures In Every Situation From Weddi
I have shot pictures in every situation from wedding halls and evening outside shots to bright outside sunlight with this Fuji Finepix A201 Digital Camera and after a fast read through the owners manual learned how to compensate for different lighting situations. The problem with most folks who have difficulties that I have read in other reviews in this thread is they apparently haven't read the manual because it is pretty self explanatory. This was my first digital camera and all I ever used to use was throw away 35mms so I am no pro. I read online where when you get a new digital camera it is suggested you practice shooting in different conditions before you have to use it for a special occasion. It also says that every digital camera reacts differently under similar conditions depending on the processer and the quality of the lens so if you are having problems with the A201 it is because you are not willing to invest a little time reading. I did and my pictures rival those my other relatives take with 500 dollar digitals. If you fill the frame with your subject the quality of your pictures will improve greatly mine did. I think it has something to do with the auto focus. Overall I am very happy with this camera.

I Bought A Fuji Finepix A201 Digital Camera As A C
I bought a Fuji Finepix A201 digital camera as a cheap entry to Digital Photography - mainly for taking pics of the kids.
Disappointed, however, that when I used it for snaps in the evening or on a trip to the zoo, the pictures were next to useless. Either they were too dark or the subject was so far away it could not be seen.
I have now decided to give the camera away to a relative and spend £300 on an Olympus C300z.

This Fuji Finepix A201 Digital Camera Was Really G
This Fuji Finepix A201 digital camera was really growing on me during the first few days after purchase. After I got to grips with the menu system on the camera, which is frankly a mess and doesn't follow it's own rules, I was really feeling good about deciding this was the camera for me. It's my first purchase of a digital camera and I am now totally in love with the freedom allowed by being able to snap away, safe in the knowledge that you can view, delete, generally mess about knowing your not wasting valuable film.
Unfortunately this all ended the first time I used the camera at night in my home. The images taken inside under indoor lighting are covered in white circles of light. According to the manual this is caused by using a slow shutter speed and high temperatures. Hello? I'm in England, and it's not hot, not even approaching it. As for the slow shutter speed, that was also not true. The camera was set on Auto with auto-flash selected.
So now I'm really heartbroken because I know this camera is useless to me now, because I take a lot of photos indoors at night :(
I will mess about some more tonight with the manual settings, but I'm not holding out much hope. I'll be back to edit if I get a positive result, but the fact that I have to do this is a very big minus point. All I want to do is press click and have a cheap and cheerful photo without having to mess about with advanced features.
Postscript:
Having studied the manual further, I have now found the cause of the white
circles of light on my photos, it's actually down to dust particles,
obviously I need to dust more :)
I also think it didn't help that I took the photos close to a strong light
source, which probably made the problem worse.
I now intend to keep the camera, and would recommend budget buyers to give
it a try.

I Originally Had A Goodmans 1308...took It Back Be
I originally had a goodmans 1308...took it back because it was rubbish. Spent an extra £50 and got the Fuji Finepix A201 digital camera. Best £50 I spent.
I find that the picture quality is excellent, I have printed out a couple of pictures A4 size & the results were great.
All I wanted was a camera which I could point & shoot...the A201 lets me do this. There are also a lot of other handy features which are there if you want them. The movie recording is quite fun as well.
Definitely worth the money.
I absolutly agree with you, this is a excellent camera for £150,it is the first digital camera I have had, but for the price the picture quality is good, a good size & even a 3yr old could use this camera because it is sooooo simple. However...the only problem I've had with this camera(& I've had it 2yr)is that the pictures don't develope very good it low light areas! Other than that......i love it!

The Fuji Finepix A201 Digital Camera Is The Best I
The Fuji Finepix A201 digital camera is the best I've seen in it's price range. Pictures are excellent and downloading so easy a monkey could do it. It's small enough to fit in even Britney Spears hipster pocket (as I wish!). The controls are a bit fiddley if you want to catch something different but for point & shoot it's the business. The 20s Video capture is cool if u are messing around outside, if not a little grainy but not bad, useless though unless you have good light. Cost a bit extra €350 because with VAT(value added tax) over here (Ireland) everything does but €50 was for an extra 64mb smartmedia card the camera itself was €299. I have not printed out any prints yet but if they look half as good as they do on the screen it will probabley compare with my old canon A1. My only gripe, as with all digi cameras I've used, is battery life-it eats them alive. Buy a couple of sets of ni-mh rechargeables and you should be O.K. A wee camera bag would not have been bad either. All in all the best camera I've used in it's price range.

The Fuji Finepix A201 Is A Smart, Small Digital Ca
The Fuji Finepix A201 is a smart, small digital camera with features that are usually on a more expensive camera. I purchased mine from Draco Computer Systems http://www.draco.co.uk or 01269 831711 ask for Derek my camera cost me £221 all in, but that included an 8MB Smartmedia card and a 64MB Smartmedia card
