Good: A Photographer's Camera - Full Control Of Sh
GOOD: A photographer's camera - full control of shutter, aperture and focus if you want it, plus loads of auto modes. Great big lens; I've taken some cracking pictures. Flip-up flash means you can GUARANTEE it's not going to go off unexpectedly. Still prefer my 35mm SLR, but this comes close and is so much more convenient / cheap to run.
BAD: Autofocus is slow (about 250ms), so I almost always pre-focus it. Inter-shot delay slower than newer models (always try this in the shop - some are terrible e.g. Minolta DimageX). But my main gripe is that in the first 15 months it had to be repaired twice - once under warranty for a dark spot on the CCD (they cleaned it - how did it get dirty is my question?), then once because the manual focus mechanism broke, and that cost me £90. I saw the mechanism - it's really flimsy and easy for dirt, damp etc. to get into it. My camera was away for well over a month for each repair.

I Take A Lot Of Pictures With This Fuji Finepix 49
I take a lot of pictures with this Fuji Finepix 4900 zoom digital camera. It`s easy to handle and the pictures are very sharp.
It is a 2.4MP camera. Many places are listing it at 4.3MP, because it basically interpolates through software to make up the necessary pixels to get the larger image.
Personally I felt misled since I didnt do my homework on this camera when I bought it used on ebay, the seller listed it at 4.3MP, and then I read it was really a 2.4MP.
Overall though Im quite satisfied since I only use the 2400x1800 res if Im going to print something in 8x10 or larger, which works great, but sucks for screen viewing, too soft.
How many mega pixels is the 4900??? I would assume 2400x1800 image would, by a not too dificult calc, come out at 4.3 mega pixels... but there are sites rating it at 2.4??? i don't understand...

Wow, The Fuji Finepix 4900 Zoom Is A Lovely Digita
Wow, the Fuji Finepix 4900 zoom is a lovely digital camera, amazingly nice design, lovely layout of all buttons, weighted nice.
So many options available for taking pictures, but if you just want to snap away in auto mode, its very capable.
I just can't find any faults that would warrant not buying it.
I'm just an average joe picture taker, but i have played with all the settings in all lights. Also i'm an IT guy and heavily into technology, get this camera now.

Recently purchased Fuji Finepix 4900 digital camera and love it... Have made prints (on photographic paper) up to 16 x 20 in size with excellent results...really impressive..that's it!

The Fuji Finepix 4900 Zoom Is An Awesome Little Di
The Fuji Finepix 4900 zoom is an awesome little digital camera. I take this thing everywhere. The software it comes bundled with works great with WIN2K Pro. It's "easy as pie" to download pictures. Just plug in the USB cable, turn on the camera and the software and the computer does the rest. When you are done, disable the drivers via the tray icon and unplug the camera. A Sony 32Mb smart card is almost a must when dealing with greater rez pix. They also really need to bundle an extra battery with a charger at the factory and extend the sleep mode to 30sec.

The Fuji 4900 Digital Camera Is Truly Good Value.
The Fuji 4900 digital camera is truly good value. A very good cross between SLR and digital. Pictures are extremely sharp and the camera is easy to use for great results. If anyone knows how to get aroung the 'lag' between what you see when you focus and what you actually get when you trip shutter, please advise me at [email protected]

I Have Upgraded To This Fuji Finepix 4900 Zoom Dig
I have upgraded to this fuji finepix 4900 zoom digital camera from my Fujifilm 1400Z which I thought at the time was stunning (indeed it was up to A4 but image quality of the 1400Z deteriorated at A3 size).
The 4900Z image quality goes far beyond printing at A3 size - detail on my Epson Photo A3 printer is fabulous. Colours are subtle and the overal effect is truly magnificent.
I highly recommend this camera to anybody!

I Have Owned A Fuji 4900z For A Year Now And It Go
I have owned a Fuji 4900z for a year now and it goes nearly everywhere with me. The plus point about being like a 35mm camera can also be seen as a short fall - it doesn't fit in my shirt pocket - but the quality of the image it produces makes up for that.

I Have Been A Professional Photographer Until Rece
I have been a professional photographer until recently and thought that I should now go digital. The FinePix 4900 has great reviews so I went for that one. It is wonderful to use and see superb quality pix instantly. My only quibble is that it is too small to hold easily. If it was the size of my old Olympus OM-2 it would be perfect!
It does take time to work through the instructions but it is necessary to benefit from the camera's many features.
Marvellous digital camera and excellent value.

I do not know much about digital cameras. If I buy the Fuji Finepix 4900 do I need to buy a separate memory card or is one included in the camera when I buy it?
