Canon Digital IXUS 95 IS

I bought this Canon camera on ebay (from the canon_uk1 shop) for my wife, as she had been using my own camera to take photos of her floristry items (flowers for weddings, funerals, celebrations etc).

I had been looking for a compact digital camera which had at least 10megapixels (to get a very good printable image), and I also was looking for a camera which wouldn't need adjustments (i.e. it would truly be automatic) as well as having an Image Stabilizer (as we get older, our hands aren't as steady, and anything to help the image be more stable has to be of great benefit!)

Before I looked to see where would be the best place to buy a camera with such attributes, and as I'd always been very pleased with the build quality and clarity of images with Canon cameras, I went online to look at Canon's website, and looked to see what would fit the bill.

Canon's brochure 'suggested' either their IXUS 95 IS (at 10MP) or their IXUS 105 (at 12.1MP), and although both cameras had same or similar functions, it was the viewfinder on the Canon IXUS 95 IS which clinched what was required.

After deciding on the model, a Google search soon revealed what others had to say (i.e. Reviews) about the Canon IXUS 95 IS, and then another Google search suggested that the best buy was on ebay, in the form of a completely refurbished (but primarily new, with a 12 month manufacturer's Guarantee), and that the seller was Canon Outlet (under the ebay name of canon_uk1)

Although canon_uk1 have a mix of Buy Now and Auction items, I opted for the Auction format, and was thrilled a couple of hours later to win a Canon IXUS 95 IS (in grey) and pay just over £51.00 (+ £2.95 P+P) for a camera which is on sale elsewhere for way over £100.00 !

The camera arrived (very well packaged) within 2 days, and on opening the outer carton, the contents revealed that the camera was in pristine condition, and that apart from a memory card (which was stated on the site to not be included) everything else was present and correct, including an excellent rechargeable battery plus the battery charger, all CDs and booklets, and everything else which would normally constitute the contents of a brand new product.

Although I have left my feedback for the ebay seller (canon_uk1), that they have a great range of cameras (digital compact and digital slr, as well as printers, scanners and more)and that they provide an excellent service at fantastic prices, means that I wouldn't hesitate in recommending canon_uk1 (via ebay) to everyone; indeed, if you are after a canon camera, printer or anything else associated with such, then do take the time to see what is on offer and how much you can save, and with the assurance of a No.1 Company being the supplier.

Incidentally, the camera takes absolutely fantastic images, and my wife is really thrilled with it. Photos of her displays which on previous cameras had not received the correct exposure, or hadn't received sufficient flash, suddenly sprang into life with the Canon IXUS 95 IS, and that, together with the Image Stabilizer, has meant that even with her shaky hands, everything is in focus, sharp and of the right colours.
