The Canon Fd 50mm/1.4 35mm Slr Lens Is A Fast Lens
The Canon FD 50mm/1.4 35mm SLR lens is a fast lens, which is to say that it can allow you to take a good quality photo in low and very poor lighting.
Your normal zoom wide open in low light would usually give a exposure of f 4.0 at say 1/30.
A 1.4 is 2 stops wider, so that means that your shutter speed can go up to speeds. ie f1.4 @ 1/125, which means less camera shake and a better photo overall.
Because of the small size it can just be slipped into a pocket or purse.

I Am Rediscovering The 50mm After 35 Years Of Phot
I am rediscovering the 50mm after 35 years of photography. It is an interesting exercise in composition to see whether you can pull it off with a 50 before going wider. This 50mm is as good as it gets. My much, much more expensive Leica 50 shows no significant difference in micro-contrast and resolution.

I Bought This Lens With The Canon F-1n. It's An O
I bought this lens with the Canon F-1N. It's an old but one of greatest ever lenses what I ever had. It's very sharp, has excellent colours and superior accuracy. It gives professional quality pictures in all appertures and in all light conditions. This lens is Canon reference lens by which they adjusted colours for other lenses of that time. This is a perfect lens that gives a perfect quality, it does not have bad points at all. It's a great lens for 100$.
