GHD IV Styler

I have had a pair of ghd straighteners for 7 years and I love them so much - they are fabulous!!!!!! However, I thought I would buy a spare set in case mine every broke (I couldn't be without them). I bought a pair of the scarlet straighteners and they were terrible. They tugged at the ends of my hair and didn't straighten it like my old ones did. I returned them to ghd and asked for the ordinary straighteners (mark IV). These were just as bad! What on earth have ghd done! The old straighteners were fantastic - nay perfection!!!!!! The new ones are awful - my hair is still frizzy after I have straightened it and just gets worse during the day. Needless to say, I have gone back to using my old ghd's and just hope they never break!!!!!

Shame on you ghd for spoiling something that was so perfect! If it ain't broke, don't fix it!!!!!!!!

I have always brought a ghd knowing that they are the best straightners. I have spent 10o to £150 on these products which may sound silly but i knew they were good quality and would be money well spent. But recently I brought a ghd for someone as a gift. I was told it was a limited edition and thought it was a perfect gift. But its very disappointing to know that this didnt even last her a year as it has stopped working! obviously i do not have the reciept anymore because it was a wedding gift. But now it just feels like it was a waste of money! :(

I have tried loads of different brand of straightners and I can honestly say that once you use GHD you will never ever go back. People who say their other brand ones are just as good obviously have never tried GHD. They really are the best of the best, and although rather expensive they are well worth it. I have had mine since 2004 and although I have replaced the lead once, they are still absolutely fabulous! If in doubt about buying these because of the price - Please do. They heat up within seconds and are incredibly hot. I find that the other brands just dont get as hot even though they claim they do. Also should they break outside of the 2 year warranty all parts can be bough online for £5 or so and most parts can be replaced.

So, so massively disappointed. I've had ceramics for years, just cheapo ones but thought, "What am I missing by not having GHDs?", so got some for Christmas.

Problems: Not hot enough; too loose to clamp hard enough to get the hair straight unless you hold the hot bit (fine at first, not so great at the end!); after a month of using it my hair is frizzy and coarse. Appalling. And it didn't even come with hints and tips. GHD please note - for that price I want to know how to use it for the curling etc that you promise. Yes I know it's on the website, but at 6am when I am doing my hair, that is not convenient.

I've gone back to my whatever brand that I got for £20 from TK Maxx 5 years ago. My hair looks gorgeous again.

GHD's! I love my ghds, i purchased them online from the official website as i preveoulisy purchased fakes! i would strongly recommend this to anyone because i think they are great and i like them a lot! I could not live with out them as they are my life line, without them i dont know where the world would be, i would like to have known about them hair dryer cream as my hair frizzes when i dry it. I also purchased then GHD shapoo and conditioner and heat protection spray. My hair now feel smooth and smelling fantastic but protected at the same time. I would like to purchase the GHD hair dryer and cream as it takes me a while to dry my hair.

I strongly recommend The GHD styler to anyone as they are the best thing that has every happen to hair and beauty.

Just perfect to avoid going to the hairdresser to style your hair every week. Even for a formal occassion you can experiment with your GHD providing the dvd to see how to make different styles. I m in love with it thanks to GHD. I had other straighteners before but weren't as perfect as this. Even in humid weather my hair stays perfect.
