Philips Philishave RQ1095 Arcitec Shaver

I have a PT920, it came with a 2 year . It stopped charging after 2 years and 2 months. I went to the warranty claim web page and entered my details.

To my surprise Philips said they would send me a new one if I sent them a scanned copy of my original receipt. 24 hours later and I have a new charger in my hands!!

I've always been happy with my Philips it services me well. What has really impressed me, and inspired me to write this review, is the outstanding warranty service. They could have told me to take a hike or kept me waiting a month while they source a replacement from Mars. Just try and warranty a Cisco switch and you will what I mean.

Excellent battery life and alsow for more than 25 shave per charge. Shaves very close and cleaning system works well. Head replacement is very expensive as the whole head must be replaced.

I had always thought Philips would be good, but having now used my Artic for over 3 years I am giving up and getting another. This is a shaver that doesn't shave. I am amazed Philips are still selling them.

The Philips Philishave RQ1095 Arcitec Shaver is an okay shaver but the 8200 series shaves better. Replacing my 1050 for a 8270cc.

I use Philishave machines for the last 45 years, and I think my recent acquisition (RQ1095) is a fraud, at least when compared with my previous HQ8894 (because I just can't remember all the others):

1-HQ8894 charges for 1 hour and lasts 160 minutes; RQ1095 charges for the same hour and only lasts 65 minutes!

2-HQ8894 has a large capacity for cuted beard hairs that only need cleaning every 4 or 5 days; RQ1095 has to be cleaned every 2 days, maximum!

3-When batteries go out, on the HQ8894 you simply plug it and continue finishing your shaving; with the RQ1095 this is not possible, because you simply cannot connect the power cord to the machine!

4-The cutting capacity is better on the HQ8894 than on the new RQ1095;

5-The only thing that seems to work good is the expensive jet cleaning system.
