Philips Coolskin HQ170

Shaving head of Philips Coolskin HQ170 fell apart after only two months! Philips do not cover this under their two year warranty so beware. Have owned many Philips products but extremely dissapointed with this and lack of after sales care.

Good points with the Philips Coolskin HQ170, easy to use, easy to clean. Bad points, not very good under the chin and neck. I generally have to use a blade razor to shave under my neck

I received this Philips Coolskin HQ170 as a birthday present and I have never been more impressed by a wet shave electric razor EVER. If you shave often and especially if you get easily irritated then you must have one of these. Using it in the shower is a breeze and it makes light work of even the thickest of beards. It comes supplied with 2 interchangeable heads (a 3 head shaver and a clipper), a shower rail strap to hang it in the shower, a razor head cover to protect when not being used, a Philips Coolskin branded white travel bag for the razor, 2 gel and 2 lotion refill cartridges, a cleaning brush and a rack to hang your cartridges in the bathroom. This new styled silver and pearl white unit looks fantastic and is so easy to use with an instinctive LED display to show when the razor is readying to rinse and the battery life. The gel dispensing feature is legendary and makes it so simple to apply the right amount of shaving gel/lotion when you need it most to prevent irritation and having to manually apply shaving gel mid shave. The shaver and charger are also pre-set to international standards so you won't have problems charging this unit abroad. I have tried it in Canada and the States and it worked perfectly without a power converter.

I have to give sales and support a 0 as I have never experienced them yet (and hopefully won't have to) but if anything changes I will update this review.
