Braun Synchro Pro 7790

I have had this razor for 3 years. Although I have complained about the price of the replacement cutters, they are supposed to be changed every 18 months, I have yet to do so, although I will soon therefore 3 years is not bad.

At the age of 36 I have spent the majority of my life without ever being impressed. About 12 months ago I decided to take the plunge and buy a Philishave electric shave for '£200. I was under the impression that if you buy a top of the range product then it is bound to be good, and in all fairness it was. At the end of the day, you are not going to get a shave as close as a wet shave with an electric shaver are you? Or are you....?

When the time came to replace the blades in my Philishave shaver I was a little put out as they had only lasted 12 months and they should have lasted 2 years, but then again, I have very hard and black stubble, not only that but to replace the blades it was going to cost me '£45. I decided to go back to wet shaving and carried on as before. Until I thought about the possibility of trying a foil shaver. After careful reading of reviews and looking at prices I decided that for me, I would go for the Braun 7790 foil shaver. The only thing that put me off was the fact that I was buying a clean & renew system and what was the point in that?

Then it came, and after its first use I stood in complete disbelief. This shaver is exceptional and it goes beyond all expectations, and yes I was impressed, very impressed. This shave is good, very good and for the first time I have recommended this shaver to other people and this is the reason for this review. After my first use I have to admit that it shaved me extremely close. My face is smooth and has no rough bits in them hard to reach places. The shaver feels solid, very well build and its heavy, it feels like you have spent well and the performance is truly unbelievable. Then I thought about trying the clean & renew and why not, because I received a free container of solution, what have i got to lose? so I tried it. I have just ordered another 3 refills, this system is fantastic, the shaver comes out washed, dry and as clean as the day you first opened it and it smells of fresh lemons instead of that musty foul shaver smell they all get over time. I cant believe i wasn't even going to use the cleaning system, it is worth every penny.

If you are like me, wet shave day in day out, fed up, don't know what to do, shall I buy a shaver or not and if I do which one will suit me. Get this shaver. Braun 7790 with clean & renew. Braun 7785 is the same shaver minus a power indicator and is normally cheaper. I am so impressed with this unit. Buy it, like me, you will not be sorry.
