I Am Yet To Use This (tcm) Tchibo Mobile Phone For
I am yet to use this (TCM) Tchibo mobile phone for over a year that I got it as a present from a friend in Germany. I can't make or receive a call on it if I put in the SIM. Every other feature in it works except dialling a number and or receiving a call. I have taken it to several service centres around my area, but nobody seem to understand the problem -- including a Chinese phone service centre.
It has remained with me as a souvenir than a handy phone ever after. Does anybody have the slightest idea about how I can rectify this problem?

Bought These Cordless Digital Phones From Tchibo.
Bought these cordless digital phones from Tchibo. They looked like good value, 2 handset and the headphone / mike included.
When they work they are ok phones, but they have more negative points than plus points, eg
They often read 'Out of area' and the signal is lost, even if both phones and the base unit are in the same room and next to each other! If you try to use the phone then, all you hear is a horrible loud noise, not a dial tone. This clears eventually. I bought them to use the second handset upstais, so this lack of signal is a real problem.
They often fail to recharge when placed back in the base unit - two little contacts on the bottom of the phone should 'meet' with contacts built into the base unit to charge - they often need a good push down to achieve this, and often come away from the charging contacts. Annoyingly, both phones make a 'beep' to acknowledge that it is charging so when it gets nudged (knocking the table they sit on for instance) and the contact is lost, it then beeps on its on when the charge starts again. I have one in a bedroom and often have to take it out of the base unit as it beeps intermittantly during the night as the contact is lost and made again.
The headset is useless - you can hardly hear anything and the person you are talking to cannot hear you either. I thought this would be a really useful feature, being able to use both hands at the same time as talking on the phone, (writing things down, or using a computer etc) but the included headset is not up to the job.
The menu's are awful and over complicated too, although you can change lots of the settings, (ring tones etc.)
The buttons feel cheap, and there is no quick way to redial the last number without going through several menu's so its quicker to enter the number again!
Overall, a poor effort really. They work, but I would not recommend them at all.
