Stay As Far Away From This Pos As Possible. Freque
Stay as far away from this POS as possible. Frequent crashes of both the software and the OSX box running it. Had an interesting quirk where it would crash Photoshop CS2 every second scan causing constant relaunches. Difficult to figure out install instructions both in the manual and on screen. Tried on several different machines with different OS's never worked reliably. Currently in the recycle bin and on my way to buy HP. Canon will never see any of my money ever again....

I'll Come Clean...i Am The Casual User Of Canon Li
I'll come clean...I am the casual user of Canon LiDE 80 Flatbed, in fact it is primarily just for old photos that I use this machine but I've found this easy enough and the beauty of it lies in it's simple one touch operation. It really was as simple as closing the lid and hit the scan button on the front. One note of caution...it comes with a stand to allow you to store it upright but I found this less stable than it ought to be and it nows lies flat.
