Samsung Wave S8500: This Is My First Touch Sc
Samsung Wave S8500:
This is my first touch screen phone and i really like it, i bought it mainly based on the easy access to social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter which i use a lot to keep in touch with friends and also that you can download a different selection of apps onto your phone. These are the apps i most liked that i downloaded which were all free, Pandora Box(which has many apps in one such as an airhorn, bell, burglar alarm, clock, compass, counter, metal detector, display button,SOS signal, siren, spin the bottle, a scoreboard, a whistle and many more. I liked a fun bubblewrap popping game, sMirror which is used as a mirror, a drum kit, painting, Instruments - which has a piano, a guitar, maracas and a drum kit which you all play like you would in real life. A GPS locator, a funny voice which turns your voice high and low and Bada Shelf where you can scan or type the barcode of a book and rate it and put it into your library. I could mention a lot more applications i loved! It looks very slick, though i would recommened buying a case for it. The 5 megapixel camera is also a good feature and you can change your photo with a very impressive selection of effects. The selection of games already loaded on to the phone are good and fun to play. I love the widgets and themes you can download and am impressed with the fake call function, the mini diary and the task application.
However, although i like the access to Facebook for the money spent on the phone i would have liked a chat function on the Facebook and I'm a little confused on how to logg off as there seems to be no logg off button, which i have been looking for and in the end i've had to go on accounts and delete the facebook application to logg off. Very occasionally the phone does freeze and if you click on something a message "Try again later" can appears a bit more than occasionally. The battery life isn't that good either i have to charge the phone at least once a day. I hope Samsung improve the selection of apps, and i don't mind the fact you have to pay on some apps(with a large selection of free apps too) but i think that the fact you have to use a credit card is a bit annoying and it doesn't feel very safe doing it on a phone maybe an idea to let the user pay for apps with the credit on their phone?
Overall although some things on the phone have dissapointed me slightly I love this phone and would definitley recommened this phone. (The end to a very long review!)
