Feature Rich -average To Poor Performance
ive owned my nokia n97 for almost two years, and have begun my search for a new phone. This lead me to searching reviews and thought i'd add my opinion to this. Im not highly technical but will use a reasonable number of features on the phone
The phone is feature rich which pretty much sold it to me. has all the social network tools preinstalled, has wifi, a decent keyboard and a high megapixel camera.
The problem comes when you actually have to use the dam thing. the features are slow to respond, the screen often freezes when scrolling too fast. the c: memory is too small and you always get 'out of memory' issues (there are ways around this if you search the internet, but why should i have to spend hours searching for all this??) so i cant update my nokia software, cant recieve any more text messages.
they touch screen isnt as good as an i phone (but i dont think there are any phones as good in that respect). The best thing is that it has that nokia feel and familarity to it. You kind of know where things belong and where you can find them. and in most areas its really user friendly.
given the chance again, i wouldnt buy it (i chose this over an iphone). My next one will be an android i think.

This Has Got To Be The Worst Smartphone I've Ever
this has got to be the worst smartphone i've ever evetr bought!! I bought it bcause of it's large internal memory, what a waste of time
le's start with UI ugly boring old nokia look, the touchscreen was useless and scrolling up and down a nightmare(I am no novice to touch screen phones.
music was ok but video quallity apalling
the internet was a joke if it did connect it either timed out when going to sites or it just jammed.battery a couple of hours
i will never evr use Nokia again(especially as they've teamed up with the hateful windows system) i now have ab HTC Desire,a fabulous Android phone
Nokia you're history
I can totally agree with this review. What was sold as an iPhone beater simply is not.
Constant connection issues, and although they can be sorted, each time you have to delve through multiple complicated menus to achieve this.
It broke 4 times in 2 years and i took care of it so it was not damage caused by misuse. Vodafone repaired it free of charge on a contract but it ended up having almost all of its parts replaced.
Apps from the ovi store (supposedly checked by nokia) kill it and it had to be factory reset.
One (and the final straw) occasion i loaded an app that used the calendar function of the phone to retrieve my appointments worked for 3 weeks and then failed. it took the embeded calendar with it and no other calendar app would work either.
Return to Nokia!
I upgraded from a N95 which was great. But i now have a 3Gs and wonder why i put up with the crappy N97 for nearly 2 years. The OS is better the processor and graphics are better the apps work! The app store is much bigger etc etc.
N97 Nice keyboard good camera (when it worked). nothing else going for it!
I defended this phone for ages against the iPhone crowd.... what a prat.
I found this review very helpful because... it's techy but to the point,it's honest without mugging off all Nokia phones showing proof the reviewer has no agenda

Nokia N97 Was Launched As Flagship Mobile Of Nokia
Nokia N97 was launched as Flagship mobile of Nokia. With extremely high price and hype in media, I decided to have it for upgrade. TBH, I regretted my decision straight away as the Phone literally feels like a copy cheap version from China. Symbian OS sucks. Its unreliable, amature sluggish and everything but good. Especially when you have used the likes of iPhone, or Google Android phones, it is really unpleasant to use Nokia N97. The only thing that is good is Camera. However for the price I'd certainly not recommend it to any one.

Not A Bad Phone. Can Do Everything All Other Smar
Not a bad phone. Can do everything all other smartphones on the market can do. The only down side to the phone is it has a nice habbit of crashing at annoying times. This is normally just after a phone call. I am on the latest firmware but the crashing has been an issue on all versions of the firmware.
Always had Nokia phones and with all the N series phone I have had this always seems to be an issue.

I Have Bought A N97 From Davismicro.com It Only
I have bought a N97 from davismicro.com It only costs me about $100. The quality of my N97 is good and it is so cheap. I specially love the function of this mobile phone.
In order to obtain the Unlock code, contact the carrier to which your phone is locked to.
Every carrier has certain conditions inorder to give you the unlock code.
If they do not help you don't be panic there are lot of providers in the web who can help you with one.
I would recommend to go for the cheaper one.
However make sure that you reach the right place.
You cannot play with the attempts in the Nokia N97 to enter the unlock code which can make the phone hardlock even.
Here are some suggestions, compare the price among themselves.
