Htc Legend - No Really Powerful Enough For Android

I've had this for about a year and a bit and use this everyday as its a corporate work phone. My experiences are:

Negatives (-)

-Short battery life

-Very slow response time

-Only one button to activate on from standby

-Bad reception

-Call screen NOT user friendly

-Top of the phone cuts into ear whilst talking on phone

-awful syncing software to PC

Positives (+)

-Apps on Andriod

-Good size

I Took Out A Contract With The Legend And Was Very

I took out a contract with the legend and was very impressed with the styling and functions on the handset. Unfortunately when i tried to use it at work i could not get a signal, this is NOT the fault of the network as previous and current phone on the same network have no problems, so it must be the handset, updated sim card and sending away for repair was just a waste of time. As the phone was newly launched reviews were hard to find but now there are verious places on the web that have raised the issue, maybe htc should read them...

I Was Called By Vodafone And Offered An Upgrade. I

I was called by Vodafone and offered an upgrade. I'd had my eye on the HTC Desire for a while. Sadly they had none in stock so I opted for its little brother, the Legend.

Glad I did now. A friend in work has the Desire and we compared. I like the compactness of the Legend over the Desire and the aluminum body feels great in the hand and feels like it will take the bumps and scraps of a mobile in and out of the pocket.

One let down would be the battery life, but thats mainly due to the fact we can't stop playing with it.

Oh, and I would recommend a tariff with unlimited internet as its very addictive, downloading apps and watching YouTube videos on the train to work. Also, I have noticed it would cost about £400 to replace if I lose it, so I am going to take out insurance.

Oh Yes, If You Are One Of The Beautiful People, Th

Oh yes, if you are one of the beautiful people, this is a phone for you....if you are not, this phone will make you look and feel beautiful. Joking of course, but this is a well crafted, handsome looking work of art. Moulded from one piece of alliminium, I think it looks well better than the iphone. Also think it performs quicker as well, and has the advantage of a better camera, optical trackball, flash in the internet browser, not being tied to iTunes, Google-led open source android operating system......no wonder apple and HTC are suing each other.

To make this a balanced review I am trying to think of disadvantages, but am struggling to do so..............maybe the battery is not a long lasting as it could be and I can see the metal casing could be prone to scratches........

But, if you want a great smart phone with all the features you could every want, I thoroughly recommend this mobile...also payg and contract prices are quite competitive now
