Great Spec Unlocked Phone For 180 Quid.

I travel a lot and always have to buy an unlocked phone as I use different carriers. So I had to pay a bit more obviously, but for 180 quid its a bargain and its good to have a windows phone that's never crashed! I have had many Windows phones before, all have been with I-mate which used HTC for phones until their last models (which crashed all the time).

Its a bit heavy, but it gives you the quality feel.

I use T-mobile when I'm in the UK & USA, never had any problems with them. I have them both on pay as you go and will say the UK company is better value. I have fast internet connection which cost 20 quid for 6 months and never had any problems with restrictions or limits.

Back to the phone, the Windows Op is good, its very much ringed, so you cant do very much freely, everything has to go through the App store. The app store is what put me off the Iphone as I like running a few programs of my own, but that's the way the market is and will be, this is one reason why Smart Phones will become limited, the HTC Pro 7 has a great keyboard, screen, Windows office and a lot of processing power which I can't use due to windows operating system being ringed and now I have had to resort more often to using my laptop.

Do not expect Windows 7 to be anything like previous windows phones, its more a toy, but does what it says. Great for surfing the web, playing games, emailing and Office etc.

This Phone Looks The Part And Seems On The Surface

This phone looks the part and seems on the surface to have all the relevant gizmos. How wrong can you be. The "HD" camcorder is scetchy at best and if you're trying to capture anything faster than your pet tortoise forget it. Bluetooth will only pair to a headset and nothing else. There is no data transfer at all. If you already own a phone based on windows mobile 6.5 or below, watch out. All your existing programs that you've bought will not work on this phone it is marketplace only.

There is no backup feature apart from the ability to link your contacts to your windows live account (if you have one).

Finally, and the worst point of all, the wifi doesn't work very well. It will connect for a few times then you have to either take the battery out or turn the wifi off then back on. Don't even think of contactinh HTCs tech support. I made that mistake and am left wondering if they even know which end of the phone to speak into. Incompetent dosen't begin to describe it. The wifi is a known fault (i find out now) and HTC will happily keep bumbling messages backwards and forwards unitl you're out of you warranty period and then tell you to send it back to them and they'll get it back to you within 7 days (hmm).

All in all a great phone badly implememnted. I've never been a fan of the IPhone but I would recommend it over this
