Cell Phone Contract? Providers Email Unlock Codes For Free!

T-Mobile and certain other cell phone carriers are providing unlock codes for free upon request to their customers that have service plan contracts! Many people haven't known this. If you have a cell phone contract with your provider call and ask regarding the unlock codes to your phone! Don't spend money getting scammed? I hadn't known any better at first and purchased the unlock code to my Amaze 4G from www.unlockathome.com. I then found out that T-Mobile would give me the codes for free so I called and a representative sent me an email the next day with my unlock code! I currently have a two-year commitment with T-Mobile, but told them I am considering paying the penalty fee to end my contract to save money. I wanted to keep my phone and use it with a non-contract service plan possibly another provider!

Here's what Steven @ unlockathome.com had to say when I asked him if he'd consider posting advice on his home page to warn that certain providers give their service plan contract customers the unlock codes for free:

"I'm not putting that on my home page. You ever seen a liquor shop screaming on their windows you can make liquor yourself also, you don't need us. Go away! Of course not."

"Some people even KNOW that they can get their unlock codes via their provider and still come to us. Simply because almost with all providers it takes up to 7 days to get the codes and most of our services are way faster then this."

"It is your own fault for not doing some more research before purchasing. We offer our service and it is impossible to keep track for every provider in the world who gives out free codes or not and advise our customer about that."

"You are the ONLY person ever that has been complaining about this, even after you got a great deal on your unlock codes."

Yes, I told Steven some very choice words which I cannot post here. Me and how many other of his scammed customers got such great deals on their unlock codes not knowing our providers like T-Mobile would give them to us for free...

Thanks Steve

Super Easy Even A Nitwit Like Me Could Do It :)

I needed to simunlock my HTC One X phone for travel abroad and a friend told me to unlock it. I don't know much about computer and many sites are very technical but unlockathome.com looked easy enough so I went for it and I literately had my phone unlocking in under 5 minutes! They even have some promotion where I could choose my own price so it was dead-on cheap also! Great site highly recommended.

www.unlockathome.com has reasonable rates, but if you are under a service plan contract with your cell phone service provider you can most-likely get your unlock codes from them FOR FREE upon request. I received my unlock codes from T-Mobile the next day after I requested them. The T-Mobile representative told me if T-Mobile didn't have the codes onhand and had to contact the cellphone manufacturer it could have taken up to a week for me to receive the codes by email.
