Q&A
I purchased an "unlocked" Samsung S3 NEO phone from Carphone Warehouse (UK) and sent the packaged box unopened to my friend in Brasil.
The phone requests an unlock code when he inserts a local SIM (ie. the phone is still locked within the region).
Carphone Warehouse confirmed that I should have inserted a UK SIM and made a 5 minute call to activate the "unlocking" of the phone. What can my friend in Brasil do to remove the region lock (without sending the phone back to the UK)?

There is an unlock app on the play store it costs a couple of pounds and once paid unlocks the s3 no problem does depend on the android version u running though as takes a while for them to support the new android versions that come out
